Great tips, another good tip is to include things that would mark a time or era…ie, cars in the back ground, fashion sense, etc. I love looking back at old family photos and seeing the things from that era. It’ll be good for generations to come to see too

It is often the simple things that are often forgotten, not intentionally of course. However, the tip about not forgetting to include yourself in some pics is one I myself forget regularly & who wants to be the forgotten one all the time. Thanks for some really good tips & I must commend you on such a fantastic website.

Love your newsletters and advice…Our family had a 2 week holiday a couple of years ago and I scrapped a whole album (12 x 12!) from it….everyone loved it and the fantastic pics we were able to get at the beach, nature parks, paddlesteamers and other locations, but EVERYONE commented that there were not enough pictures of ME! (There were 3! and one of those was me ‘acting up’ like a dill on the beach at Victor Harbor!!) My kids are now old enough to use my camera and we often do a ‘swap around’ to make sure I am in some of them…even if I am not very photogenic!!!

Great tips… that one about including yourself is a definately MUST… just checking back through my collection I noticed how little I was in the shots…. now I make a point of asking someone to take my pic… or use my self-timer even!
