Sticko stickers are great for scrapbooking. They are so easy to use, they always look fabulous and there are always so many styles and themes to choose from. So this week, I chose one of my favourite butterfly designs and created a brand new scrapbooking layout.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Sticko Stickers

Materials Used: White Bazzil cardstock, pink cardstock, blue Bazzil cardstock, Kaisercraft scrapbooking papers, Doodlebug alphabet stickers and Sticko Colourful Butterflies stickers.

This layout was a lot of fun to make. I love the bright cheerful colours and the streamlined arrangement of the different elements on the page.

If you would like to give it a go, it is very quick and easy to recreate. All you need are a few pieces of co-ordinating papers and cardstock in the colours and patterns that match your photos and your favourite Sticko stickers.

When embellishing your page, don’t forget to use some of your stickers to dress up your title. It’s a great way to give your layout a personal touch and a unique look. On my scrapbooking layout, I have dressed up the letters of my title with a butterfly sticker and a small heart sticker. I have also drawn attention to them by placing flower stickers around my title. It gives my page that extra special touch.

You might also like to consider matting some of your stickers with cardstock. It gives them a little more dimension and helps them stand out from your page.

I hope you like my new creation using butterfly Sticko stickers.

Butterfly stickers are probably my all time favourite type of stickers. My albums are literally full of them. I just can’t help it! They are so pretty! And there are so many designs and styles to choose from!

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Flower & Butterfly Stickers

Stickopotamus (Sticko for short) stickers from EK Success are amongst the best. They offer a wide variety of flat, glitter, vellum, shiny and metallic butterfly stickers to choose from. They come in pretty pinks, pastel purples, bright oranges and all sorts of other fun colour combinations so there is something for everyone.

Butterfly stickers can be used on a wide variety of scrapbooking projects including feminine layouts, layouts of flowers and the beauty of the great outdoors, off-the-page items like photo frames or tins and so much more.

In this layout, I have used glittery pink butterfly stickers from Sticko to compliment my pink flower photo:

Materials Used: Pink cardstock, Scrapbooking Australia Strawberry Candy paper, Provo Craft Pink Stripes paper, burgundy cardstock, white cardstock, pink ink, a brown pen, pink ribbon, Around the Block Black Alphabet stickers and Stickopotamus stickers.

This layout was surprisingly easy to create. I used a sketch from 500 Scrapbooking Sketches to guide my design.

Here are some tips to note when re-creating a layout like this.

1. The background paper was not a true 12×12 paper (don’t you hate that!) so I matted it on pink cardstock. It gave the layout a nice pink border as well as made my page 12×12.

2. To create the border around the pink stripes paper, I first used a brown pen to lightly draw a handful of horizontal and vertical lines in the top right and left corners. I then used a pink ink pad to brush ink all around the top and side edges. I used a criss-cross pattern for added interest.

3. Two of the butterfly stickers were matted with white cardstock to help them stand out from the background.

4. The alphabet stickers were not placed in a straight line. This was to make them more interesting, but also to help them fit.

5. There are several torn edges on this page. When tearing paper, always tear slowly and towards you for more control.

Butterfly stickers add a beautiful touch to your scrapbooking layouts. Give them a go. You might be surprised at just how gorgeous your pages turn out!

Newport Scenic Route Paper offers a richness of colour that brings your layouts to life. In this layout I have used three Scenic Route papers from the Newport collection, but you could easily re-create this design with any of your favourite papers.

Click Here To View Scenic Route Papers

It’s no secret that I am a fan of linear layouts (just look through the scrapbooking ideas here and you will soon notice a trend). I love the clean lines and balance achieved in linear designs. However, I also love the sophistication and elegance of scrolls and flourishes. This layout is intended to be an introduction to the use of scrolls on your scrapbooking pages. The design is still a strong linear onee but I have used two large scrolls to soften it and give it a sense of flow. If you want to try using scrolls on your layouts but aren’t sure what to do, this is a great idea to start with.

This layout was created using Scenic Route Newport White Script paper, Scenic Route Newport Jade Big Dots paper, Scenic Route Newport Chestnut Dots paper, white cardstock and dark brown ink.

Click Here To View Scenic Route Papers

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Scenic Route Newport Jade Big Dots paper as your background. Ink around the edges with dark brown ink and set aside to dry.

2. Cut a strip from the underside of Newport White Script paper approximately 4.5cm wide. Make sure your stripes are horizontal. Ink the edges with dark brown ink. When dry, glue this piece of Scenic Route paper down the right side of your page.

3. Cut a piece of Newport White Script paper measuring approximately 22cm by 26.5cm, making sure the script is horizontal. Ink the edges with dark brown ink. When dry, adhere it to your background approximately 2cm from the top and up against your striped paper from the previous step.

4. Cut a thin strip of Newport Jade Big Dots Paper. Make it the width of one row of dots. Adhere down your page so that it covers where your striped paper meets your script paper.

5. Thinly mat your horizontal photos with white cardstock and arrange on top of the script paper as shown above.

6. Now it’s time to create your scrolls. You can use pre-made scrolls or use a template to cut out your own. Or, if you would like to dabble in a little doodling, you can draw your own. I drew my own using the underside of the Newport White Script paper. Once I had drawn the first one, I cut it out, flipped it over and used it as the template for the other.

7. Ink the edges of both scrolls with dark brown ink and when dry, glue one in the top left corner and the other in the bottom left corner, as shown in the scrapbooking layout above.

What do you think? Do you like this scrapbooking idea using Scenic Route paper? Do you have any questions? Would you have done anything different? We’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below.
