Since we have so many new baby stickers this week, I thought I would share with you a baby scrapbooking idea I created using one of the sketches from my collection of 500 Scrapbooking Sketches.

I love using sketches to create my layouts. Whether I’m creating a baby scrapbooking idea or something completely different, sketches always help me design my page and focus in on what it is I really want to create. It takes out all the uncertainty and since I’m not stressed about how my page will look, I have so much more fun.

Click Here To Order Your 500 Scrapbooking Sketches Now

This cute baby scrapbooking idea was created using sketch #3.

Materials Used: Pixie Press Floral paper, Making Memories Pink Plaid paper, light yellow cardstock, pink cardstock, brown cardstock, brown ink, a brown pen Beary Patch Baby Girl stickers and Sandylion Glitter Tinkerbell Rub-Ons (for the title).

To recreate this baby scrapbooking idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Pixie Press Floral as your background. Ink the edges with brown ink and set aside to dry.

Of course, if you wish to create a baby boy scrapbooking idea instead of a baby girl idea, you will want to change the paper from a pink floral to something else. Perhaps something blue, green or orange.

2. Cut a piece of Making Memories Pink Plaid paper measuring 33cm by 31.5cm. Tear along the bottom edge for extra interest.

3. Using a brown pen, draw a dashed border around the top, left and right edges (not the bottom edge) of your pink plaid paper from Step #2. Also, ink the edges with brown ink.

This effect is perfect for a baby scrapbooking idea as it softens the page and creates a heart-warming feeling.

4. When your pink plaid paper is dry, make a small tear along the top edge approximately 5cm from the left corner. Fold down each side to create triangles (it looks a little like a collar), as shown above. Lightly ink the triangles for a more aged look.

5. Make a second small tear on the right edge of your pink plaid paper approximately 5.5cm from the bottom corner. As in step #4, fold down each side to create triangles, as shown above. Lightly ink the triangles for a more aged look.

6. Glue your pink plaid paper to your page approximately 4cm from the top edge and 3.8cm from the left edge.

7. Cut a piece of brown cardstock measuring approximately 18.5cm by 13cm. Tear along all the edges for a softer look for your baby scrapbooking idea.

8. Mat a horizontal 4×6 photo with light yellow cardstock and again with pink cardstock. Glue in the centre of your brown cardstock from the previous step.

9. Position an “Am I Cute Or What?” rub-on from Sandylion Glitter Tinkerbell Rub-Ons above your photo, as shown above. I know strictly speaking, these rub-ons were not intended for baby scrapbooking ideas, but I thought it suited it perfectly!

10. Finally, decorate your page with baby stickers of your choice. Place them around your photo on your pink plaid paper, as shown above. For a balanced effect, place your largest sticker in the bottom left corner of your pink plaid paper and the second biggest in the top right corner.

Also note, if you wish, there is space for journaling below your photo.

——————————————————————————–

This baby scrapbooking idea is simple and quick to create thanks to the sketch that I started with. I always love quick layouts. Any page that is fast but still looks fantastic is a real blessing as it leaves you time to catch up on all your other to-be-scrapped photos (and, if you’re like me, there are plenty of those!).

I started using sketches because I would agonise over my pages trying to get them just right. I wasted so much time and worry that I hardly got any scrapping done. Sketches really did change all of that for me and I have enjoyed scrapping much more ever since.

This layout was created using leaf green Bazzill cardstock, Creative Imaginations Delphinium Linen paper, Sweetwater In Lover paper, Creative Imaginations Swirl paper, white Bazzill cardstock, purple cardstock, Doodlebug alphabet stickers and Precious Moments Baby stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the leaf green Bazzill cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Creative Imaginations Delphinium Linen paper measuring 29.5cm by 18.5cm. Glue across the bottom of your page leaving a border of around 0.5cm around the left, right and bottom edges.

3. Cut a piece of Sweetwater In Lover paper measuring 29.5cm by 6cm. Glue horizontally across your page directly above your Linen paper from the previous step.

4. Cut a strip of white Bazzill cardstock measuring 29.5cm by 1.2cm. Glue horizontally across your page so that it covers the join between your Linen paper and your In Love paper.

5. Crop two vertical 4×6 photos down to 3 1/2 x6 photos and mat with purple cardstock. Mat again with Creative Imaginations Swirl paper, leaving a border of around 0.4cm around the left, right and top edges and 3cm at the bottom edge.

6. Glue your first photo vertically to your page approximately 1.2cm from the right edge and 6cm from the bottom edge.

7. Glue your second photo to the left of the first, leaving a small gap in between the two.

8. Cut a strip of Sweetwater In Lover paper measuring 20.8cm by 1.2cm. Glue at an angle across the bottom of your Swirl paper photo mats, as shown above.

9. Place a baby bottle sticker and small star sticker in the bottom right corner of the In Love strip from the previous step, as shown in the layout above.

10. Place your baby and bear sticker from Precious Moments Baby stickers in the bottom left corner of your page.

11. Place your teddy bear sticker from Precious Moments Baby stickers in the top right corner of your page.

12. Place two small star stickers in between your two photos, as shown above.

Baby girl scrapbooking stickers are perfect for creating cute and girly pages for your little girl. In this layout I have used several simple techniques like paper tearing and tag art to create a very sweet and pretty page. And, it’s so easy to scraplift. All you need is some pretty pink papers and some cute baby girl stickers.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Baby Stickers

This layout was created using Provo Craft Pink Paisley paper, Provo Craft Pink Stripes paper, Provo Craft Pastel Dots paper, white cardstock, purple cardstock, pink cardstock and Karen Foster It’s A Girl stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Provo Craft Pink Paisley paper for your background.

2. Cut a strip of Provo Craft Pink Stripes paper measuring approximately 3.5cm by 30.5cm. Tear along the bottom edge and adhere horizontally along the top edge of your page.

3. Cut a strip of Provo Craft Pink Stripes paper measuring approximately 9cm by 30.5cm. Tear along the top edge and adhere horizontally along the bottom edge of your page.

4. Cut a piece of Provo Craft Pastel Dots paper measuring approximately 4.5cm by 30.5cm. Adhere horizontally to your page approximately 2.3cm from the bottom edge.

5. Mat a vertical 4×6 photo with white cardstock. Adhere to your page so that it is centred between your two strips of striped paper and approximately 1.5cm from the right edge.

6. Mat a vertical 3×4 photo with white cardstock. If you don’t have a smaller photo, you could make this a journaling block instead. Adhere approximately 1cm to the right of your larger photo so that the bottom edge of both photos are inline with each other.

7. Mat your pink ‘Giggle & Gurgle’ sticker with white cardstock. Adhere to the right of your photos so that the bottom edge is inline with the bottom edge of your photos. Place a small orange flower sticker towards the top left corner of your ‘Giggle & Gurgle’ sticker, as shown in the layout above.

8. Cut a tag measuring approximately 4.3cm by 7cm from purple cardstock. Cut a circle from Provo Craft Pink Stripes paper and glue in the bottom right corner of your tag, as shown in the layout above. Trim away any excess. Mat your tag with white cardstock. Cut out a section of your purple ric rac sticker and place along the bottom of the tag, as shown above. Glue your tag at an angle in the bottom left corner of your page.

9. Cut out a circle with a diameter of approximately 3.7cm from pink cardstock. Glue towards the top left corner of your tag so that it overhangs the edge, as shown above. Place your ‘It’s A’ sticker inside the circle. Finish off your tag by placing a yellow flower sticker in the middle of the top edge and an orange heart sticker towards the bottom right corner.

10. Place your ‘GIRL!’ stickers in a row next to your tag to create your title.

11. Arrange your ‘Precious Baby,’ ‘Cuddle Bug,’ duck and pink flower stickers in the bottom right corner of your page, as shown above.

12. Finally, place your ‘Am I Cute Or What!’ sticker in the top right corner of your page. Add your small yellow heart sticker to the bottom right corner of this sticker.

The first couple of years of a child’s life are a beautiful time. Black and white photos of your child sleeping or hugging Mum are a real treasure to be cherished forever. But don’t forget to capture those fun moments too – the moments that make you pull your hair out now but you look back on and laugh. Baby scrapbooking ideas like this are perfect for all those messy moments when your child is first learning the joys (and tribulations) of food. Although this layout can be very effective in showcasing the different experiences your child has when starting to eat solid food, it is very simple to create.

The logical, symmetrical design of this page places the focus on your photos, which is exactly what you want it do and can be easily adapted to any theme.

This layout was created using Creative Imaginations Sonnets Green Wash paper, Creative Imaginations Yellow Squiggle paper, yellow cardstock and Suzy’s Zoo My First Food stickers.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Baby Stickers

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Creative Imaginations Sonnets Green Wash paper as your background. If you do not have this paper, any light green paper will do.

2. Crop three vertical photos to the same size and choose which order they will go in. Mat the two outer photos with yellow cardstock, leaving a 1.5cm gap above the photos (your word stickers will go here later). Mat your central photo with yellow cardstock, leaving a 1.5cm gap below the photo.

3. Cut a strip of Creative Imaginations Yellow Squiggle paper measuring approximately 14cm by 30.5cm. Your height will depend on the height of your photos. Just make sure it is tall enough to create a border around your photos when you eventually stick them down. Glue the strip horizontally across your page approximately 5cm from the top edge.

4. Glue your photos across the strip of yellow squiggle paper.

5. Add the words yummy, yucky and splat in the gaps you left above and below your photos. If you wish, you can first matt the stickers on cardstock, cut them out and then adhere them to your page. This just gives a little extra depth. You can also use foam tape to adhere them.

6. Place your title sticker in the middle of the gap above the yellow squiggle paper and embellish with a bib sticker.

7. Finally, place your character stickers in the bottom left and right corners, as shown in the layout above.
