Kawaii dress-up stickers are puffy stickers that work just like paper dolls. Each sheet features at least one doll sticker for you to dress up and an array of outfits and accessories to choose from. They are a lot of fun for little girls to play with but they also make fantastic dimensional embellishments for your paper crafting projects!

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Kamio Kawaii Stickers

This week, I wanted to share with you two birthday cards I made from a single sheet of kawaii dress-up stickers:

I designed the first card with my teenage niece in mind. It features the doll sticker itself. I have dressed her up in stylish ‘rock’ clothing to given her a young, modern look that would appeal to any teenage girl and accessorised her with a fun headband and a sleek black handbag. I then have placed her against a sophisticated black and red backdrop featuring the outline of a guitar. Just the thing that would appeal to a young adult!

One of the great things about these kawaii dress-up stickers is that you get to choose how you dress them so you can add a touch of your own personal style.

Layering the clothes and accessories on top of the doll also gives your card texture and dimension so that it really stands out:

Of course, you can’t fit all of the clothes and accessories on the doll all at once, you will inevitably have some left over. You can still put them to great use though and create your own fashion themed birthday cards like this one:

For this card, I used a selection of leftover tops, shoes and accessories. I arranged a selection of circles down the left side of the card and embellished them with my stickers. I then added a ‘Happy Birthday’ message and accented it with a pair of red shoes to give my design a bit of pop.

And once again, I have created a birthday card that would be suitable for a teenage girl or anyone who just likes fashion.

It’s an exciting time here at Stickers ‘N’ Fun. Our first shipment of stickers has just arrived from Japan and they are absolutely gorgeous! We are in love with them and we know you will be too. They are so different to the stickers we usually stock from the USA and they open up a whole new range of creative possibilities. We hope you are going to have just as much fun with them as we are!

It will take us a few days to process them all and upload them onto our website, but in the mean time, we wanted to share with you a sneak peak.

So, here it is! This is a gift box I made using one of our new sheets of Japanese stickers, some Anna Griffin scrapbooking paper, blue Bazzill cardstock, scraps of paper I had left over from other projects and a few little embellishments. I hope you like it!

I used the purple Anna Griffin scrapbooking paper to create the actual box. I then lined the inside of the box with blue Bazzill cardstock. Before I sealed up the box, I used white ink to stamp the cardstock repeatedly with a swirly stamp to create a sophisticated interior for my creation.

Once the box itself had been created, I set about decorating it. On the front I layered various paper elements like circles and a tag to create a sophisticated look. I then accentuated them with carefully placed stickers and flowers. And it didn’t stop there. I also decorated the back and sides of my box.

I have to admit that I love the back of the box. I just think the line of carousel horses is so sweet! They are what attracted me to these stickers in the first place.

I decorated the sides of my box with clock towers, lamp-posts and birds. Incidentally, clock towers turn out to be a wonderful way to hide a join between two pieces of paper!

This is just one creation with one of our new sticker designs. There are so much more to come. I can’t wait to share to them all with you! In the mean time, I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak. I’d love to hear what you think. Please leave a comment in the comments box below.

Brand new Sticko stickers have just arrived here at Stickers ‘N’ Fun. They are by far our most popular range of scrapbooking stickers and it’s not hard to see why. The fun and sophisticated designs feature a wide range of themes and styles to suit everyone. There’s everything from Christmas favourites to back to school to summer vacation and much more (the beautiful butterflies and the adorable ladybugs are personal favourites of mine).

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Sticko Stickers

I also love that they come in a variety of types. Some are flat stickers accentuated by glitter, others are made of vellum for that soft effect, others are three-dimensional to give your layouts pop and others are made of epoxy for that extra special touch.

And scrapbooking with them is so much fun!

While looking around on Sticko’s official website, I found two gorgeous scrapbooking pages I just had to share with you. This one is my favourite:

Artist: Dana DeCarlo

This layout uses Sticko’s Christmas Trees N Stars Epoxy stickers to add a sense of Christmas cheer to an already joyful layout. I particularly love how the Christmas wreath sticker has been used in place of the ‘O’ in ‘Joy.’ So cute!

Artist: Nicole Ratzlaff

This layout uses Strawberries Epoxy stickers to embellish both the flower accents and the title to create a very sweet little girl scrapbooking layout. Using strawberries as the centre of my flowers is not something I would have thought of myself, but it’s a fabulous idea!

These are just two of the thousands of things you can do with Sticko’s unique range of stickers. Why not select your favourite designs and see what you can create!

I scrap a lot of photos taken at various birthday celebrations throughout the year. As a result, I have many pages embellished with birthday cakes, candles and balloons. But sometimes, when scrapbooking a birthday layout I move away from the traditional birthday motifs and choose a theme that focuses more on the personality of the birthday boy or girl. For example, I have embellished this layout with Fairy stickers.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Fantasy Stickers

The photo was taken at my niece’s birthday party, but instead of focusing on the celebrations, I wanted to focus on the young lady she was growing up to be. I chose a sophisticated colour scheme of pinks (bright pinks, not baby pinks) and browns to show her maturity and mixed in several sweet fairy stickers to show her youth. I also added character to my journaling by mixing up my fonts. Try using some of these techniques in your own pages.

Materials Used: Daisy D’s Daughter Plaid paper, Paper Garden Watermelon Ribbon Stripe paper, Bazzill Cardstock (pink and pale pink), pink cardstock, pink ric-rac, Amethyst ink pad, Petal Pink ink pad, alphabet stamps (2 fonts), pink pens, glitter and Sandylion Pink Fairy stickers.

To recreate this scrapbooking idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the plain pink cardstock as your background. It will be completely covered, so the exact colour is not important.

2. Cut two strips of Daisy D’s Daughter Plaid paper each. The first should be approximately 5.5cm tall and the other should be approximately 8cm tall. Adhere the smaller strip across the top of your page and the larger strip along the bottom.

3. Mat a vertical 4×6 photo on pale pink Bazzill cardstock giving it 5mm border all the way around your photo. Mat again on pink Bazzill cardstock. This time the border should be approximately 1cm at the top and bottom and 2cm at the sides. Your photo mat should now be approximately 18cm tall.

4. Cut a piece of Paper Garden Watermelon Ribbon Stripe paper. This will be your journaling block. You will have to calculate the size of this piece based on the size of your matted photo. It should be the same height as your matted photo (approximately 18cm tall) and when placed next to your matted photo, the width of the two pieces together should add up to the width of your page (i.e. 12 inches). You may wish to make this piece slightly wider than necessary and allow your photo to overlap it once adhered to the page.

5. Now is the tricky bit – your journaling. Consider what you would like to say in your journaling and how you would like to arrange it on your journaling block. Jot it down on some scrap paper so you know what you are working with.

6. Begin with the first word of your journaling. This goes across the top of your journaling block and should be the largest word. In my case, I stamped the word ‘Ashleigh’ across the top. Try not to line up your letters perfectly – sometimes the haphazard look is much more effective.

I also stamped the letter ‘A’ on a rectangle of pale pink Bazzill cardstock, inked the edges of the rectangle with the same ink and used that for my first letter of my title to make it stand out.

7. Add the last word of your journaling across the bottom of your journaling block. Make sure you leave plenty of room on the left for the fairy tag that you will add later. The last word of my journaling is ‘pink.’ I used a different stamp set and stamped each letter on a circular piece of pale pink Bazzill cardstock. I then inked the edges of each circle with Petal Pink ink and Amethyst ink before adhering them along the bottom of my journaling block.

8. Write the rest of your journaling in between the two words you have created. Write directly on your Watermelon Striped paper with a pink pen. Every now and then, add emphasis to certain words by switching to a purple pen and writing in a larger, fancier font.

9. Select a few other words you would like to emphasise. Write these words on small pieces of pale pink Bazzill cardstock and cut into rectangles. Ink the edges of the rectangles with petal pink ink and glue in place.

10. Adhere your journaling block to the left side of your page, in between the two pieces of plaid paper you have already glued across the top and bottom of your page. It should overlap slightly with each of them.

11. Adhere your photo mat next to your journaling block. Make sure you position it so the top and bottom edges are in line with the top and bottom edges of your journaling block.

12. Cut two pieces of pink ric-rac. Adhere across your page to cover both joins between your plaid strips and your journaling block and photo mat.

13. Finally, cut four small tags from pale pink Bazzill cardstock. One should be smaller than the other three. Ink the edges with petal pink ink and punch a hole in the top. Select four Sandylion Pink Fairy stickers and adhere one in the centre of each tag. If you wish, you can add a little glitter to their wings. Thread a small piece of pink ric-rac through each hole and adhere your fairy tags as shown in the layout above.

Now you have a sophisticated page to delight any pre-teen!

I have something special for you today! Earlier this year, Alison Jeatt, one of our readers, sent me a picture of an absolutely gorgeous Precious Moments card she made based on one of my ideas. And I am so thrilled to be able to share it with you, so here it is:

Isn’t it adorable?!?

Alison’s card is based on one I created last year using our Precious Moments Friendship stickers.

Click Here To View Precious Moments Friendship Stickers

If you would like full instructions on how to create this card, please visit:
http://www.stickersnfun.com/precious-moments-card-making-ideas/

Of course, Alison has personalised her card to suit her needs. For example, she has chosen a rectangular shape instead of a square, her floral embellishment is layered whereas mine is not and she has added a ‘Happy Birthday’ message and a sweet butterfly sticker.

I try to design all my cards and layouts so that you can adapt them to suit your projects and your style.

Have you tried any of my ideas on your own creations? I’d love to see them and share them with our readers. If you would like to have your work featured here, please send an email to general@stickersnfun.com

And please, let Alison know what you think of her card by leaving her a comment below.

Thanks so much for sharing Alison!

Barbie stickers are the perfect embellishment for a young lady or little princess. They are feminine and youthful but can also carry a sense of style and elegance. This week, I have used Barbie stickers to create a soft and sweet greeting card. Pay particular attention to the unique background. It is so easy to do and could be used to add personality to any of your scrapbooking and card making designs.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Barbie Stickers

This card was created using white Bazzill cardstock, MM Colors By Design paper, white cardstock, pastel eyelash fibre, an orange/pink flower from Bazzill, a small white brad and Barbie Phrases stickers.

To recreate this card making idea, follow these steps:

1. Cut a piece of white Bazzill cardstock measuring 5 1/2 inches by 11 inches (14cm by 28cm). Fold in half to create a card. Place it in front of you so the fold is along the top edge.

2. Cut a piece of MM Colors By Design paper measuring 13cm by 13cm. Glue to the centre of your card.

3. Cut a piece of pastel eyelash fibre about 16cm long. Wrap around your card approximately 3.5cm from the bottom edge, as shown in the layout above. Make sure you secure it well at the back (you don’t want it falling off later). I just used photo tabs, but use whatever adhesive you are comfortable with.

4. Cut a piece of white cardstock measuring 7.2cm by 11.7cm.

5. Select a phrase sticker from your Barbie Phrases stickers (I have chosen one that says ‘friendship’) and stick in the bottom left corner of your white cardstock from the previous step. Working up and across, cover the whole piece of cardstock with different phrase stickers. It doesn’t matter which ones you use, but try to mix up the colours and sizes a little for variety.

6. Mat your cardstock covered in phrases from the previous step with white cardstock and glue on the right side of your card.

7. Select a Barbie sticker from your sheet of Barbie stickers and mat with white cardstock. Glue on top of your phrases as shown above, making sure it is slightly off-centre.

8. Finally, using a small white brad attach an orange/pink flower towards the bottom left corner of your card.

What do you think? Do you like this card making idea using Barbie stickers? Do you have any questions? Would you have done anything different? We’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below.

Scrapbooking tags are extremely versatile and can be used to dress up any page. In this article I show you how to use a series of three tags to create a simple yet elegant title.

Often the colours in our photos determine the colours of our background papers and embellishments. This would most likely have resulted in a blue page for this photo. However, I wanted to page to represent my niece’s personality at age 9. I wanted it to be very girly and pink (her favourite colour) so chose colours to complement the blue rather than match it. This is a great way to step out of the box a little and try some colour combinations you might not otherwise have had a chance to use.

This layout was created using Pixie Press Floral paper, Sonnets Leaf Linen paper, Daisy D’s Blush Gingham paper, Brown Ribbon, Sonnets Alphastamps stickers, Sandylion Wedding Alphabet stickers and Art of Scraps Wheat Tags.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Pixie Press Floral paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Sonnets Leaf Linen paper measuring approximately 23.5cm by 20cm. Position it on your page so that it is centred horizontally, as shown above. Do not glue down. Instead, lightly mark the area of the background floral paper you will be covering up and cut out three of the flowers from within this area. These will be used later embellish your page. Erase the marks you made and then glue down your rectangle.

3. Mat your photo with Blush Gingham paper. Position your photo on the right-hand side of your Leaf Linen rectangle and adhere.

4. Take your set of three Art of Scraps Wheat Tags. Punch a hole in the top of each one and thread your brown ribbon through. Attach the ribbon by tying a small knot. Position your three tags, one above the other, to the left of your photo and adhere.

5. Use your Sandylion Wedding Alphabet stickers and Alphastamps stickers to create your title. I suggest selecting a three word title and placing one word on each tag. If you do not want a title, you could instead use three descriptive words to describe the subject of your photo.

6. Finally, finish off your page by positioning your three flowers around the photo and title.

What do you think? Do you like this scrapbooking idea? Do you have any questions? Would you have done anything different? We’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below.
