Using Scrapbooking Papers

Part 16

By Barbara Proietti

Diecuts With A View paper collections feature many beautiful and unusual colour combinations making them the perfect choice for injecting a new spark into your albums. In this layout, Barbara shows how to make one of the colour combinations work for you. Give it a go, and have some fun!

This layout  was created using three papers from the Diecuts With A View Floral Paper Pack (Blue Floral Paper, Red Floral Paper and Tan Floral Paper), black cardstock, blue cardstock, ink, a flower punch, rub-ons and a red brad.

Use the Diecuts With A View Blue Floral paper for the background. Ink around the edges. Cut a piece of Diecuts With A View Red Floral paper measuring 23cm by 23cm. Ink around the edges and adhere in the bottom left corner of your page.

Mat your photo with black cardstock and again with blue cardstock. Ink around the edges and when dry, adhere towards the top right of your red square.

Cut a 2cm strip of Diecuts With A View Red Floral paper and ink the edges. Adhere down the right side of your page. Cut a 2cm strip of Diecuts With A View Tan Floral paper and ink the edges. Adhere across the top of your page. Cut another strip of Diecuts With A View Tan Floral paper, this time measuring 27.5cm by 6cm. Ink the edges and adhere along the bottom of the page.

Cut corners from the Diecuts With A View Tan Floral paper and ink the edges. Use them to highlight your photo, as shown in the layout above.

Punch three large flowers from Diecuts With A View Tan Floral paper and another three from Diecuts With A View Blue Floral paper. Use circles cut from blue cardstock for the centre of your tan flowers and circles cut from black cardstock for the centre of your blue flowers. Ink the edges of each flower. Adhere your tan flowers, one on top of the other, down the right side of your page, as shown in the layout above. Adhere your blue flowers, one on top of the other, down the left side of your page, as shown in the layout above.

Cut a tag from blue cardstock and add your journaling. Ink the edges and attach underneath your photo with a red brad.

Finish your page off by using rub-ons to create a title.
