Scrapbooking Stickers

Quick Scrapbooking Ideas

Part 15

By Chris Turnbull

It is easy to overwhelm a layout with lots of different patterns, colours and embellishments. In this layout, Chris shows how to keep your focus on your subject and the message you wish to convey with your page.

This layout was created using Sassafrass Lass Tickled Pink Green Apple paper, Gin-X She Wears Pink Crocodile Sweater paper, Pink, Heart Swirls and Dotty paper from the Sweet Sprinkles Kit by Shabby Princess downloaded from the internet, Heidi Swapp Preppy Ribbon, Junkitz Salsa Long Brads, Jo Sonja Moss Acrylic Paint, acid free square photo frame, flower buttons from Spotlight, thread and Bo Bunny Sisters stickers.

Using the Sassafrass Lass Tickled Pink Green Apple paper for the background (BG). Cut a 17.5cm x 23.5cm mat from the Sweet Sprinkles Pink paper. Adhere to BG as shown in the layout. Use zigzag stitch to sew along the top of BG paper and Sweet Sprinkles Pink paper from edge to edge. Sew down the sides of the BG paper and Sweet Sprinkles Pink paper from top to bottom.

Mat photo onto Sweet Sprinkles Heart Swirls paper and then adhere to Sweet Sprinkles Pink paper mat as shown on the layout. Mat the Me and My Sister and I'm Smiling Because You're My Sister stickers from your Bo Bunny Sisters stickers on Heart Swirl paper. Attach two brads on the bottom right of the Me and My Sister sticker and one on the bottom left of the I'm Smiling Because You're My Sister sticker. Place both these stickers as a border along the bottom, as shown in the layout.

Run a length of Red Dot and plain Red ribbon through the Xyron 150 and adhere to the bottom of the layout, under the border just created.

Mat all three smaller quote stickers with Gin-X She Wears Pink Crocodile Sweater paper and mat the longer quote sticker on Sweet Sprinkles Dotty paper. Attach brads over the sticker brads allowing it to become 3D. Next, adhere all four quotes to the right of the layout, as shown.

Cut the square frame so you get two photo corners the size you want. Paint the photo corners with Jo Sonja Moss Acrylic Paint. Use two coats and allow drying time in-between each coat. Adhere one to the top left corner of the photo and the other to the top right corner of layout using double sided tape.

Finally, attach three flower buttons to the left of the layout using thread.

Although I have not used all the stickers from the Bo Bunny Sisters stickers I have used the best suited for this particular layout. I wanted the focus to remain on the photo and keep the layout simple and well balanced.
