| This month, Susanne is sharing
with us this gorgeous summer layout. To create
this layout, she has used Paper Pizazz patterned
paper (Sea Shells and Wood Alphabet Tiles),
Ginger paper, brown and white Bazzil cardstock,
white Magic Mesh, Magic Mount, Plaid Royal Coat
Dimensional Magic, Scrapbook Mania Perfect matting
system and

Art of Scraps Shells Cut-Outs.

| Begin by cutting out the
shell shapes and 'BEACH' letters. Add highlights
and dimenstion to them with Royal Coat. Set
aside and allow to dry for three hours. Make
sure they dry completely. If you try to work
with them when the coating is dry on the surface
but still wet underneath, you may risk the possibility
of cracks forming in the coating. These will
remain visible in the finished product.

| While they are drying, cut
a strip of ginger paper approximately 11cm wide
and a strip of sea shell paper approximately
21.5cm wide. Glue them together so you end up
with a sheet of paper 12 inches wide. Apply
white magic mesh along the paper joint.

| Next, create your title (in
this case, Waikiki) by printing it on white
cardstock and cutting it out. Mistral font was
used to do this. Adhere your title to brown
cardstock. Use a matting system to trace around
the lettering to create a border and cut out.

|

| Mount your photos directly
onto your brown cardstock and adhere to your
background. Alternatively, measure, cut and
remove two 20cm by 11.5cm rectangles from your
brown cardstock to create frames for the photos
to sit behind. In this example, a 5mm border
has been left around the outside and 10mm through
the middle. Before adhering to your background,
tear the bottom section.

|

| Adhere
your title in the top left-hand corner of your
page, overlapping both the background and the
photos. | |

|

| When your
sea shells and 'BEACH' letters are completely
dry, experiment with positioning them around
your page. When you are happy with their placement,
lightly mark out their positions. To achieve
a three-dimensional look, mount the bottom shells
using sticky tabs and layer the others on top
with Magic Mount. Also use Magic Mount to adhere
your 'BEACH' letters. | |
