Sometimes your photos are so engaging in themselves that you do not want to place anything on your page to distract the viewer from their beauty. When in this situation, you just need a splash of colour, simple patterns and simple embellishments to truly showcase your photos. Scrapbooking ideas like this one use simplicity to draw your attention to the photos and colour to compliment their beauty.

The key is to choose scrapbooking papers that are not too busy and do not feature too many colours. Also, in this layout, the floral paper is complimented with a plain paper in the same hue.

Click Here To View Our Scrapbooking Papers

Materials Used: Papers from the Chatterbox Sun Tangerine Blossoms paper collection, Chatterbox Den Light Tie Circles paper, orange cardstock, green alphabet rub-ons, brown pen and miscellaneous butterfly stickers.

To recreate this layout, follow these instructions:

1. Set aside your orange cardstock for your background.

2. Cut four strips of Chatterbox Sun Tangerine Blossoms paper measuring 5cm by 25.3cm. Adhere one strip vertically in the bottom left corner of your page and another vertically in the top right corner of your page.

3. Turn your remaining two strips of Chatterbox Sun Tangerine Blossoms paper over so you can no longer see the blossoms design. Adhere one horizontally in the top left corner of your page and the other horizontally in the bottom right corner of your page.

4. Arrange your photos to form a square in the middle of your page. I have used a 6×8 photo for the large photo and cropped two 4×6 photos to create my square.

5. Cut out a large blossom from your Chatterbox Sun Tangerine Blossoms scrapbooking paper and adhere on top of join between all three of your photos.

6. Cut a strip of Chatterbox Den Light Tie Circles paper measuring 1cm by 25.3cm. Turn it over so you can only see the green side (you could use green cardstock for this instead). Adhere across the top left of your page, as shown in the layout above.

7. Cut out a medium size blossom from your Chatterbox Sun Tangerine Blossoms paper and adhere in the top left corner of your page, on top of your green strip.

8. Finish off your page with a title in the bottom right corner. To create my title, I have used green alphabet rub-ons and a brown pen, but you could use any combination of alphabet stamps, stickers, rub-ons or pen work.

9. Finally, add a butterfly sticker or something similar to finish off your title.

And there you have it – a beautiful scrapbooking layout that uses a simple design and elegant scrapbooking papers to showcase your precious photos.

You’ve probably noticed by now that I adore butterflies and I incorporate them into my scrapbooking layouts as much as possible. And the Sticko range from EK Success has some of the best butterfly scrapbooking stickers around! For this layout, I have chosen their Metallic Butterfly Stickers for their gorgeous colours and their pretty reflective appearance.

Click Here To View Our Sticko Stickers

Materials Used: Cloud 9 Pink Hearts paper, American Traditional Glitter paper, My Minds Eye Quite Smitten Surprise Bouquet paper, Autumn Leaves Paper Ribbon paper, Karen Foster Purple Houndstooth paper, white cardstock, light purple cardstock, pink cardstock, a purple pen, random pink alphabet stickers and Sticko Metallic Butterflies stickers.

To recreate this scrapbooking idea using butterfly scrapbooking stickers, follow these steps:

1. Use the Cloud 9 Pink Hearts paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of American Traditional Glitter paper measuring approximately 10.7cm by 11.8cm. Glue vertically in the top right corner of your page approximately 1.5cm from the right edge and 1.7cm from the top edge.

3. Cut a second piece of American Traditional Glitter paper, this time measuring approximately 2cm by 10.5cm. Glue vertically on the left side of your page approximately 1.5cm from the left edge and 8cm from the top edge.

4. Cut a piece of My Minds Eye Quite Smitten Surprise Bouquet paper measuring approximately 23cm by 2.4cm. Glue towards the bottom left corner of your page approximately 2.5cm from the left edge and 1.9cm from the bottom edge.

5. Cut a piece of Autumn Leaves Paper Ribbon paper measuring approximately 25 by 4.8cm. Mat with white cardstock and glue across the bottom of your page approximately 3.6cm from the bottom edge. The left edge should be up against the left edge of your paper, as shown in the scrapbooking idea above.

6. Cut a piece of Karen Foster Purple Houndstooth paper measuring approximately 25cm by 2.4cm. Glue across your Paper Ribbon paper from step #5 approximately 0.6cm below the top edge of your Paper Ribbon paper.

7. Mat a vertical 4×6 photo with light purple cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 4.2cm from the left edge and 3.2cm from the top edge. You will find it sits nicely in the top left corner of your pink paper.

8. Mat a smaller vertical photo with white cardstock and again with light purple cardstock. Glue next to your first photo. It should sits nicely in the top right corner of your pink paper, as shown above.

9. Use a random collection of pink alphabet stickers to write your title in the space underneath your small photo.

10. Cut a circle from pink cardstock. It should be about 5.3cm in diameter. Using a purple pen, draw a dotted border around the edge.

NOTE: If you want to conceal a small detail, like a date, include it in your dotted circle as I have done.

11. Mat your pink circle with light purple cardstock. You can use a plain or decorative-edged circle. For added effect, add a dashed border as well!

12. Glue your circle towards the bottom right corner of your page. I positioned mine as if it was at the end of my Paper Ribbons paper, but the exact positioning is up to you. When in place, add two metallic butterfly scrapbooking stickers, as shown above.

13. Finally, add 3 or 4 extra metallic butterfly stickers around your page.

Butterflies make stunning embellishments for your scrapbooking layouts. And they are so versatile! I have used them in combination with my flower photos, but they work beautifully with photos of weddings, anything with girls, romance, vacations and much more.

Scrapbooking with ribbon is a great way to add texture and pizzazz to your scrapbooking layouts but if you haven’t used scrapbooking ribbon before, the process can be a little daunting. One of the biggest problems I am always asked about is how to attach ribbon to your page so that it stays in place. So, I thought I would put this guide on adhering ribbon together for you.

I warn you though, once you start using ribbon, you will be addicted!

Methods Of Adhering Ribbon

1. Liquid glue such as KI Memories Gloo ensures your ribbon stays permanently attached to your page. However, it is often messy and takes time to dry. This makes it difficult to finish your page in one sitting as you have to wait for the glue to dry before moving on to the next step. Personally, I do use KI Memories Gloo, but when other methods are not appropriate.

2. Brads eliminate the need for an adhesive. To attach them, position the ribbon on your page and poke a small hole through the ribbon right though to the back of the page. Feed the brad through the hole and flatten the arms of the brad on the back of your page. This is a very useful method of attachment if you want your ribbon to lie flat but not glued all the way along. Also keep in mind that a brad is three-dimensional and will stand out from your page a little.

3. Xyron Create-A-Sticker is my favourite way to adhere ribbon to a page. It is the perfect tool when you want your ribbon to lie completely flat and be glued all the way along. To use a Xyron, simply feed your ribbon in the top and pull it out the bottom. As the ribbon passes through this nifty little gadget, adhesive is attached to the bottom of the ribbon, turning it into a sticker.

4. Stitching is a time-consuming technique, but if you do take the time to do it, the effects can be stunning. Either by hand or with a sewing machine, stitch along both edges of the ribbon. Alternatively, place a handful of stitches in a few strategic positions along the ribbon to hold it in place. Another popular method is to cut a small piece of ribbon (perhaps 5cm long) and place a few stitches in the middle of the ribbon so that it is securely attached to your page while leaving the ends free for you to tie a bow or a knot.

5. Threaded effects can also look wonderful. To achieve this, cut your paper with either a craft knife or a small hole punch and thread the ribbon through the holes. This allows you secure your ribbon exactly where you want it. For example, you could cut a series of slits in a row and thread the ribbon through to create a weaved effect. Alternatively, punch two small holes, thread your ribbon through and tie a knot. To avoid tearing your paper, be careful not place your cuts too closely together and only use strong paper or cardstock.

Employing a combination of the techniques listed above on your scrapbooking pages will have you creating page after page with scrapbooking ribbon while still keeping your layouts looking fresh and original.

I’d love to hear your ideas for using scrapbooking ribbon. Please leave a comment in the comments box below.

Often when we go looking for fresh scrapbooking ideas, what we find is often difficult and time consuming to re-create. But sometimes, the real beauty in a layout lies in its simplicity!

For example, the scrapbooking layout below involves little more than matting your photo and scattering some small squares of patterned paper around your page. But in using these squares to create a heart-shaped frame around your photo, you can create a gorgeous page to preserve a special photo.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Scrapbooking Papers

Materials Used: Pixie Press Rose Splash paper, Creative Imaginations Lavender Wash paper, Me & My Big Ideas Green Stripe paper, purple cardstock, green ink, All My Memories Alphabet stickers and Queen & Company Purple Heart Brads.

To recreate this heart scrapbooking idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Rose Splash paper as your background. Lightly ink around the edges with green ink. The effect is subtle, but it does help to bring out the green in the paper’s design. Set aside to dry.

2. Mat a 4×6 horizontal photo with purple cardstock. The border around your photo should be quite small (around 2mm).

3. Mat your photo again with Rose Splash paper. This border should be much wider (around 10mm). Ink the edges with green ink.

4. When dry, once again mat your photo with purple cardstock. This border should also be narrow (around 2mm).

5. Place your matted photo on your background paper to decide its position, but do not adhere yet. If you wish, you can lightly mark where it will go with a pencil.

6. Cut out (or punch) a collection of 2cm squares from both your Creative Imaginations Lavender Wash paper and your Me & My Big Ideas Green Stripe paper. You will need 35-40 squares in total.

7. Ink the edges of your green squares with green ink and set aside to dry.

8. And now comes the creation of your heart scrapbooking idea! Arrange your squares in a heart shape around where your photo will go, as shown in the layout above. Make sure you use and variety of angles and keep in mind that you do not have to alternate your squares evenly all the way around your heart. In other words, it does not have to go purple, green, purple, green, purple, green etc. Doubling up on one or the other colours every now and then helps to add interest to your page.

9. Once you have completed you heart, adhere your photo in place.

10. Use your alphabet stickers to write your title towards the bottom right corner of your scrapbooking layout. Remember, keeping it small and understated draws the viewer’s attention to your photo and the heart frame you have created around it.

11. Finally, finish off your page with a simple heart accent like a Purple Queen & Company Heart Brad in the bottom right corner of your page, next to your title.

The beauty of this heart background scrapbooking idea is that it really doesn’t matter what scrapbooking supplies you have. You can adapt it to suit any papers you like!

Alphabet letters are a fundamental part of scrapbooking. We use them to create our titles, write our journaling and even to create interesting and unique embellishments. They come in many different forms including letters cut out from patterned papers and cardstock, alphabet stamps and chipboard letters.

My favourite type of alphabet letters are alphabet stickers. They come in so many different colours, shapes, sizes and styles and are very quick and easy to use. All you have to do is peel them off the backing paper and place them wherever you want on your layout. They are self-adhesive so you can literally create your titles in seconds.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Alphabet Stickers

In this layout, for example, it took about a minute to place black alphabet letters across the bottom of the page to create a title:

But you don’t have to use your alphabet letters just as is. There are lots of different things you can do to dress them up to create more unique and personalised titles on your layouts.

1. Create A Background

The simplest way to dress up your letters is to place them on a background of some description. For example, in the layout above, the alphabet stickers were placed along a strip of green paper. This helps the alphabet letters to stand out as well as give them some personality.

The same principle can be seen in this layout:

On this page, the light coloured alphabet letters really stand out because of the dark brown background they have been placed upon.

The background you use for your stickers is completely up to you. Most of the time you will probably use pieces of cardstock or patterned paper, but you can try other mediums as well. For example, this title has been made from Beary Patch Party Alphabet stickers and placed on a piece of white Magic Mesh to make the letters into a prominent element of the page as well as give the layout a bit of texture.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Alphabet Stickers

2. Mat Your Title

Another simple method to give your alphabet letters character is to mat them. You could mat each individual letter as shown in this layout:

This is an extremely effective technique, although a little time-consuming and often requires you to have good scissor or craft knife skills. I don’t want to put you off matting your letters as I LOVE this technique and use it all the time, but just keep in mind what it involves.

Instead of matting each individual alphabet sticker, you could mat your whole title block. This is less time consuming and can be just as effective. For example, in this scrapbooking layout, the alphabet letters have been placed on an oval journaling piece. The oval has then been matted before being placed on the page.

3. Simple Shapes

If you would like each individual letter to stand out but don’t feel like matting them like in the birthday layout above, you could instead use simple shapes like squares and rectangles as the mats for each letter.

In this scrapbooking layout, each letter sticker was placed on its own dark green square. A white pen was used to draw a border around each square and then the squares were glued in place to create a title.

Your shape does not have to have a plain background. For example, the title above was made by stamping a floral image on a piece of pink cardstock, cutting the cardstock into eight squares and then placing a Beary Patch Pink Rosebud Alphabet sticker in the centre of each one.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Alphabet Stickers

Of course, your shapes don’t have to be square either. Try spicing it up a little with other shapes such as circles, stars, balloons or hearts. This title uses Easter Egg shapes.

You can also try using different shapes in the same heading. For example, the first letter might have a square matt, the second letter a heart matt and the third letter a rectangular matt. The possibilities are endless.

4. Tags

Tags are a great way to add personality to your layouts and can be easily incorporated into your titles and journaling.

Following on from the idea of using shapes in your title, you could create a small tag for each letter of your title, as shown in this title:

Alternatively, you could create a single tag the features your entire title, as shown here:

This tag was very easy to create. The tag itself was made from pink cardstock with a vellum overlay and Magic Mesh placed across the middle. The first alphabet letter was then placed on rectangular background before being stuck to the tag with foam tape. The rest of the letters were then placed directly onto the magic mesh. Finally, the tag was further embellished with white daisy stickers, a white eyelet and pink fibres.

5. Mixing It Up

Once you get used to using alphabet stickers, you can really start to have some fun by mixing it up a little.

Instead of using the same letters for your whole title, replace the first letter (or the first letter of each word) with a different type of letter. It can be a different size, font or colour. It gives your layout that extra special touch and draws focus to your title with very little effort on your part.

For example, Doodlebug white alphabet stickers were used to create the title on this layout:

However, for added interest, the first letter was cut out from white cardstock with a different size and style to the other letters, giving the page an edge it would not have had otherwise.

The variations don’t stop there. You could also use different types of alphabet letters for each word of your title, as shown here:

In this layout, red Doodlebug alphabet stickers were used for the word ‘Love,’ brown Junkitz letters were used for the word ‘is’ and pink Creative Imaginations alphabet stickers were used for the word ‘Eternal.’ The combination of styles, sizes and colours created a sophisticated and stylish title in a short amount of time and with very little effort.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Alphabet Stickers

When you are comfortable with mixing and matching, try combining several different letters into each word of your title, as demonstrated in this layout:

This layout uses a combination of letters from Pebbles Inc, Hot Off The Press and Paper House to create a completely unique title (you can be sure noone else has created a title exactly the same as this one!).

6. Embellishing The Letters

There are so many different ways to use your alphabet letters to add personality and style to your pages, but you can actually enhance the stickers themselves as well.

One of my favourite techniques is to add glitter to make your letters sparkle, as seen on this title:

Here, Beary Patch Snowy Days Alphabet stickers were matted onto blue snow paper and then onto white cardstock. In itself, this is a great effect for those snowy layouts, but you don’t have to stop there. You can also use glitter to embellish the white snow caps on the letters to create a glistening sparkly effect, just like snow.

If you are a more experienced scrapper you may like to try gluing embellishments like buttons, felt or sequins on top of your letters to further personalise them and create a more three-dimensional, textured look.

For example, this letter has been embellished with beads:

The letter was first adhered to a piece of patterned paper. The red section was then covered with crystal lacquer (any type of strong glue can be used here) and the red beads placed on top. If you are using a technique like this, make sure you give it ample time to dry to ensure your beads are glued securely in place.

To further embellish this letter, a red heart from another letter was then cut out and placed above the heart on this letter sticker with a pop dot.

This is a great technique for those special layouts or to just enhance the first letter of a name or title.

Alphabet letters are an important part of any scrapper’s toolbox with alphabet stickers being amongst the most versatile and easiest type to use. They give an easy and quick way of creating titles and journaling on your scrapbook pages. And there is so much you can do with them that both novice and experienced scrappers can spend hours and hours finding new, creative ways to use them and dress them up.

This layout was created using K&Company Blue Awning Green Floral Damask paper, KI Sand Linen paper, Foofala Brown Ivy paper, cream cardstock, light brown cardstock, green Bazzill cardstock, brown ink, a brown pen, Beary Patch Sand Alphabet stickers and Bo Bunny At The Beach stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the K&Company Blue Awning Green Floral Damask paper as your background.

2. Tear a square of KI Sand Linen paper approximately 27cm by 27cm. Glue to the centre of your page.

3. Cut a stripe of Foofala Brown Ivy paper approximately 9cm wide. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue vertically to your page approximately 3.5cm from the right edge.

4. Mat two horizontal 4×6 photos and two horizontal 3×4 photos with cream cardstock. Arrange them on your layout, as shown above, with your most important 4×6 photo in the top right corner.

5. Cut a piece of cream cardstock measuring approximately 12cm by 4cm. Using a brown pen, write your journaling on this piece. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue in the space underneath your second 4×6 photo, as shown above. Make sure you leave room to add a sandcastle to the left of this piece.

6. Cut a piece of green Bazzill cardstock measuring approximately 3cm by 4cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. Place an alphabet sticker in the centre to make the first letter of the first word of your title. Glue vertically and at an angle in the top left corner of your page, as shown above.

7. Cut a strip of light brown cardstock measuring approximately 10cm by 3cm. Using alphabet stickers, write the remainder of the first word of your title. Ink the edges with brown ink and glue horizontally next to your green rectangle from the previous step.

8. Cut a second strip of light brown cardstock measuring approximately 11cm by 3cm. Using alphabet stickers, write the second word of your title. Ink the edges with brown ink and glue horizontally underneath the first word of your title, as shown above.

9. Finally, mat a sandcastle sticker from Bo Bunny At The Beach stickers with cream cardstock and glue in the bottom left corner next to your journaling block.

Whenever new stickers from Cloud 9 Designs stickers arrive in store, I always get excited. My poor husband has to watch me going through them all saying, “I’ll have one of these…and one of these…oh, and I HAVE to have one of these!” Lol. So this week, I thought I should stop drooling all over them and actually use some. And here is the result!

This layout was created using dark brown Bazzill cardstock, KI Peach Blossoms paper, Autumn Leaves Linen Stripes paper, Hot Off The Press Brown Swirls paper, cream cardstock, dark brown Co-ordinations cardstock, brown ink, a brown pen, Creative Imaginations Epoxy Leaves alphabet stickers, Making Memories Brown Alphabet stickers and Cloud 9 Travel Elements stickers.

Click Here To View Cloud 9 Travel Elements Stickers

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the dark brown Bazzill cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of KI Peach Blossoms paper measuring approximately 28.5cm by 26cm. Tear away the bottom right corner so you have a diagonal line from the bottom left corner to about 19.5cm down the right side. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, use a brown pen to draw a dashed border around all the edges except the bottom edge. Glue to your page approximately 1cm from the left edge and 1cm from the top edge.

3. Cut a piece of Autumn Leaves Linen Stripes paper measuring approximately 14cm by 29cm. Again, tear along the bottom edge at an angle, as shown above. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, use a brown pen to draw a dashed border around all the edges except the bottom edge. Glue to your page approximately 1.8cm from the left edge and up against the top edge.

4. Mat your main photo (I have used a 5×7 photo cropped to 17.7cm by 11cm) with cream cardstock. Mat again with Hot Off The Press Brown Swirls paper. You should end up with a border of Brown Swirls paper approximately 1.2cm wide all the way around. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, tear a corner piece from dark brown Co-ordinations cardstock and glue in the bottom right corner of your photo mat, as shown above. Then glue your photo mat to your page approximately 4.5cm from the left edge and 4.2cm from the top edge.

5. Mat your second photo with cream cardstock (I have used a 4×6 photo). Cut a piece of dark brown Co-ordinations cardstock measuring approximately 2.5cm by the height of your photo mat (in my case, 10.5cm). Tear down the left edge and glue to the right side of your photo, as shown above. Place a green Totally Tourist sticker from Cloud 9 Travel Elements stickers in the middle of this strip, as shown above. Glue your photo to your page approximately 2.7cm from the right edge and 1.6cm from the bottom edge.

6. Mat your green flower strip sticker with dark brown Co-ordinations cardstock. Glue vertically to your page approximately 2.4cm from the left edge and up against the top edge. Place a flower sticker at the base, as shown above.

7. Mat your brown tourist strip sticker with dark brown Co-ordinations cardstock. Glue horizontally across the top of your Linen Stripes paper approximately 1cm from the top edge

8. Using your Creative Imaginations Epoxy Leaves alphabet stickers and your Making Memories Brown Alphabet stickers, write your title to the left of your second photo, as shown above. Make sure you leave plenty of room for your journaling.

9. Cut out a piece of cream cardstock measuring approximately 8.2cm by 4.2cm. Tear along the bottom edge at an angle, as shown above. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, use a brown pen to draw a dashed border around all the edges except the bottom edge. Glue to your page in the space left underneath your title, as shown above.

10. Place a large brown flower sticker in the top right corner of your page. If you wish, use a yellow circle sticker to create an alternative centre to your flower as I have.

11. Finish off by placing a blue flower sticker and a small yellow circle sticker in the bottom right corner of your page, as shown above.

Vellum scrapbooking is so much fun. Vellum is a gorgeous medium which can be applied to many different scrapbooking projects to give them a unique look. This layout showcases the effectiveness of layering vellum.

I created this page to show off the roses my husband gave me on our 18 month anniversary. I wanted the page to follow a romantic theme while drawing attention to the redness of the roses. Hence, I chose a burgundy theme.

This layout was created using red plaid paper, Francheville red hearts paper, iridescent vellum, Hot of the Press white hearts vellum, white cardstock, a black pen and Suzy’s Zoo Ollie & Martha Valentines stickers.

Click Here To View Suzy’s Zoo Ollie & Martha Valentines stickers

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the red plaid paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Francheville red hearts paper measuring approximately 21cm by 28cm. Tear along each side to give a white edge. Glue vertically to your page approximately 4.5cm from the left edge and 1.5cm from the bottom edge.

3. Tear a strip of iridescent vellum approximately 8cm tall. Glue it across your page approximately 6cm from the top edge.

NOTE: Scrapbooking with vellum can be a difficult task. I often use a spray adhesive, but it can be messy, so I avoid it where possible. For this strip, spray adhesive was not necessary. Because I was placing my photo on top of the vellum, I simply placed the adhesive in the areas that would be covered up by the photo. I also placed adhesive in the area that I was later going to cover with a scrapbooking sticker. This way, the vellum was still glued down firmly, but I did not have to worry about messy adhesives or the adhesive being visible.

4. Tear a rectangle of Hot of the Press white hearts vellum measuring approximately 18cm by 21cm. Glue to your page approximately 2cm from the left edge and 1cm from the top edge. Again, you only need to use adhesive in the areas that will later be covered by your photo, so you don’t have to worry about your glue being visible.

5. Mat your photo with white cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 6.5cm from the left edge and 4.8cm from the top edge.

6. Use a black pen to journal on the white heart vellum below your photo. When you have finished your journaling, tear out a piece of white cardstock that is slightly bigger than the space your journaling takes and glue it underneath the vellum to make your journaling stand out.

7. Place the small rose sticker in the bottom left corner of the photo and a string of small heart stickers underneath.

8. Tear a rectangle of iridescent vellum measuring approximately 13cm by 9.5cm. Place your large Ollie & Martha sticker in the middle and three small heart stickers around it. Glue in the bottom right corner of your page. Again, you only need to place adhesive in the areas covered by your stickers.

9. Finally, place the large ‘Be Mine’ heart sticker on the vellum next to your photo, as shown above.

This week I wanted to share with you a scrapbooking idea that anyone with any level of experience could create and that could be adapted to suit any theme, any colours and any photos. So, I selected a sketch from my 500 Scrapbooking Sketches book and created this layout. I used photos from our trip to Coffs Harbour, but the same page design could literally be used for anything at all. Just switch the patterned papers and colours to ones you like and replace the dolphins with something more appropriate to your theme.

This layout was created using Autumn Leaves Blue Circles paper, Sandylion Light Blue Floral paper, Sassafras Lass Dreamy Dandy paper, Sassafras Lass Dreamy Tingle paper, Blue Plaid paper, white Bazzill cardstock, green Bazzill cardstock, a brown pen, a collection of miscellaneous alphabet stickers and Stickopotamus Shiny Sea Animals stickers.

Click Here To View Sassafras Lass Dreamy Tingle Paper

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the purple Autumn Leaves Blue Circles paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Sandylion Light Blue Floral paper measuring approximately 6cm by 30.5cm. Glue it vertically down the left side of your page so it is right up against the left edge.

3. Cut a piece of Sassafras Lass Dreamy Dandy paper measuring approximately 10.4cm by 6cm. Glue it horizontally along the top edge approximately 5.6cm from the left edge.

4. Cut a piece of white Bazzill cardstock measuring approximately 22.8cm by 25.5cm. Glue it along the bottom edge of your page approximately 5.6cm from the left edge.

5. Glue a horizontal 4×6 photo in the top left corner of your white Bazzill cardstock leaving approximately 0.4cm of white showing around it.

6. Cut out three photos each measuring 6.5cm wide by 6cm tall. Arrange them one above the other down the right side of your white cardstock, as shown in the layout above. There should be approximately 0.4cm gap between each one.

7. Cut a piece of green Bazzill cardstock measuring approximately 10cm by 14.2cm. Using a brown pen, add your journaling to this piece. Cut a strip of Blue Plaid paper approximately 1cm tall. Glue horizontally across the bottom of your journaling block, approximately 1.1cm from the bottom edge. Add two small blue bubble stickers in the bottom right corner, as shown above. Glue your journaling block to your page in the space below your 4×6 photo.

8. Cut a piece of Sassafras Lass Dreamy Dandy paper measuring approximately 11.6cm by 5.6cm. Glue it horizontally in the bottom right corner of your white Bazzill cardstock leaving approximately 0.4cm of white showing around it.

9. Using a collection of different alphabet stickers, write your title on top of the Dreamy Dandy paper you just placed in the bottom right corner of your page.

10. Cut a piece of Dreamy Tingle paper measuring approximately 4.7cm by 8.2cm. Glue it vertically in the space left on your white cardstock, as shown above.

11. Finally, add a dolphin sticker in the top left corner of your page and half way day the right side of your page.

Cloud 9 designs are always fresh and sophisticated. That’s what makes them so much fun to work with. They also co-ordinate really well, so putting together a layout like this is really easy. The photos I have used are from a trip we took to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We spent a few days relaxing at Coffs Harbour and this is the resort we stayed at. The Cloud 9 designs suited my photos perfectly, but this scrapbooking idea can really be adapted to suit any photos. Have a go yourself and see what you come up with.

This layout was created using Cloud 9 Sorbet Blooms Paper Pack, Scenic Route Sentimental Dots paper, light brown cardstock, brown ink, a brown pen, Creative Imaginations Ocean Alphabet stickers and Cloud 9 Sorbet Villa Thoughts stickers.

Click Here To View Creative Imaginations Ocean Alphabet Stickers
Click Here To View Cloud 9 Sorbet Villa Thoughts Stickers

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the blue stripes paper from the Cloud 9 Sorbet Blooms Paper Pack as your background.

2. Cut a piece of green paper from the Cloud 9 Sorbet Blooms Paper Pack measuring approximately 27.5cm by 24.5cm. Run the edge of your scissors along the edges to give a distressed white edge. Glue horizontally to your background approximately 1.5cm from the left edge and 3cm from the bottom edge.

3. Cut a square of Scenic Route Sentimental Dots paper measuring approximately 14cm by 14cm. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue to the centre of your page.

4. Mat two horizontal 4×6 photos (you may like to crop them a little) and one vertical 4×6 photo with light brown cardstock.

5. Glue your vertical photo in the bottom right corner of your page, approximately 2.5cm from the right edge and 4.2cm from the bottom edge.

6. Glue a horizontal photo next to your vertical photo so that the bottom edge is inline with the bottom edge of your vertical photo.

7. Glue your second horizontal photo above your first.

8. Cut a piece of light brown cardstock measuring approximately 10.7cm by 8.8cm. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue above your vertical photo. Add your journaling with a brown pen, but be careful – you will be covering significant areas of this piece with stickers later.

9. Place a tab sticker from Cloud 9 Sorbet Villa Thoughts stickers in the top right corner of your journaling piece, as shown above. Place another one near the top left corner of your top horizontal photo, as shown above.

10. Place the blue flower stickers at the top of your page in the centre, as shown above. Place the green stem sticker and leaf sticker below them. They will all overlap other elements on your page, so make sure you are not covering anything important.

11. Place the second green stem sticker down the right side of your vertical photo and the green flower sticker at the top of it. Add the leaf sticker and small orange sticker, as shown above.

12. Add a collection of small circular stickers around your journaling block for extra decoration.

13. Cut out an orange flower from the Green Flowers paper from the Cloud 9 Sorbet Blooms Paper Pack. Glue on the left side of your page, as shown above. Place a small green dot sticker at the centre of your flower. Then place the small blue flower sticker and another dot sticker below it, as shown above.

14. Cut out a pink flower and a white flower from the Green Flowers paper from the Cloud 9 Sorbet Blooms Paper Pack. Glue at the bottom of your page, as shown above. Place a brown dot sticker in the centre of each flower and a small green flower sticker next to them, as shown above.

15. Finally, using letters from Creative Imaginations Ocean Alphabet stickers, place your title in the top left corner of your page.
