I’ve always had a fascination with trains and train stickers. I’m not sure why. Perhaps because my Dad has always been interested in trains and when I was little, he let me play with his train set (which now, unfortunately, lives in the top of a cupboard). So when I saw our new 3D train stickers from EK Success’s Jolee’s range, I just knew I had to find a way to use them.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Jolee’s Stickers

These photos were taken during our visit to McComick Railroad Park in Arizona. Aren’t the train stickers just perfect for them? I love the way they just pop out of the page.

Materials Used: Dark brown cardstock, background paper from Scrapbooking Memories magazine, KI Sand Linen paper, Patchwork Cocoa Patchwork paper, American Traditions gold paper, Sassafras Lass Striped paper, brown ink and EK Success 3D Trains stickers.

To recreate this scrapbooking idea using train stickers, follow these steps:

1. Cut two pieces of dark brown cardstock each measuring 21.6cm by 28cm. These will be your backgrounds for your two scrapbooking pages.

2. Cut two pieces of background paper each measuring 20.8cm by 27.3cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue one in the centre of one page and the other in the centre of the other page.

3. Cut two pieces of Sassafras Lass Striped paper each measuring 20.8cm by 1.4cm. Glue one across on page approximately 9.3cm from the bottom edge. Repeat for the other page.

Now focus on the left page:

4. Cut a piece of KI Sand Linen paper measuring 7.3cm by 7.1cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the left side of your page approximately 2.2cm from the left edge and 4.1cm from the bottom edge.

5. Cut a second piece of KI Sand Linen paper measuring 4cm by 10.5cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the right side of your page approximately 1.4cm from the right edge and 6.2cm from the top edge.

6. Cut a piece of Patchwork Cocoa Patchwork paper measuring 3cm by 5.1cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the left side of your page approximately 1.2cm from the left edge and 11.2cm from the bottom edge.

7. Glue a horizontal 4×6 photo towards the bottom of your page so it is approximately 3.9cm from the left edge and 5cm from the bottom edge. Make sure you can cover a significant amount of the top quarter of your photo as this is where your train stickers will go.

8. Glue a second horizontal 4×6 photo towards the top of your page. It should be approximately 3cm from the left edge and sit on top of your first photo.

9. Place three of your 3D train stickers (including the engine) across the top of your first photo, as shown above. You have now finished the left page of this double-page layout.

Now focus on the right page:

10. Cut a piece of KI Sand Linen paper measuring 11cm by 2.5cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the right side of your page approximately 1cm from the right edge and 6.3cm from the bottom edge.

11. Cut a second piece of KI Sand Linen paper measuring 7.5cm by 11cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the left side of your page approximately 2.9cm from the left edge and 4.4cm from the top edge.

12. Cut a piece of Patchwork Cocoa Patchwork paper measuring 10.1cm by 10cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the right side of your page approximately 1.3cm from the right edge and 3.2cm from the top edge.

13. Cut a piece of American Traditions gold paper measuring 2cm by 4.6cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue on the right side of your page approximately 0.9cm from the right edge and 11.2cm from the bottom edge.

14. Crop a vertical 4×6 photo down to approximately 9.2cm by 9cm. Glue to your page approximately 1.2cm from the left edge and 4cm from the bottom edge.

15. Glue a horizontal 4×6 photo above your first photo. It should be approximately 2.4cm from the right edge and sit on top of your first photo.

16. Crop a third photo down to approximately 10.3cm by 7.2cm. Glue to your page approximately 1.4cm from the right edge and 7cm from the bottom edge. It will overlap your other two photos.

17. Finally, place your remaining two 3D train stickers across the top of your first photo, as shown above. Make sure you line it up with the other train stickers on your first page.

Now you have a fabulous two-page layout featuring EK Success’s 3D Train stickers!

I’m always looking for ways to add a little dimension to my scrapbooking layouts. Ribbons, brads and chipboard are the obvious choice, but a lot of the time, I find myself reaching for 3D stickers (and my favourite brand of 3D stickers – Sandylion). They are perfect for adding a little something extra to my pages without being brash or too bulky.

Click Here To View Our 3D Sandylion Stickers

Materials Used: Textured brown cardstock, Creative Imaginations Maple paper, NRN Asian Text on Parchment paper, My Minds Eye Spooked Orange Swirls paper, Reminisce Autumn Burst paper, light brown cardstock, brown cardstock, different shades of brown ink, Asian Text stamp, ribbon and Sandylion 3D Sunburst Flowers stickers.

To recreate this scrapbooking idea using 3D scrapbooking stickers, follow these steps:

1. Use a textured brown cardstock as your background.

2. Tear approximately 1cm away from each side of your Creative Imaginations Maple paper to give it a nice white edge and glue in the centre of your page.

3. Cut a piece of NRN Asian Text on Parchment paper measuring approximately 10cm by 27.3cm. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue vertically to your page approximately 2.8cm from the left edge. The bottom edge should sit on the bottom edge of your page.

4. Cut a piece of My Minds Eye Spooked Orange Swirls paper measuring approximately 8cm by 25.3cm. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue vertically to your page approximately 9.1cm from the left edge. The bottom edge should sit on the bottom edge of your page.

5. Cut a strip of Reminisce Autumn Burst paper approximately 8.3cm tall. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue horizontally along the bottom edge of your page.

6. Mat a horizontal 5×7 photo with light brown cardstock and again with brown cardstock.

NOTE: For added effect, before you mat your photo a second time, use an Asian text stamp and brown ink to stamp images all over your photo mat. When dry, mat your photo.

7. Glue your matted photo approximately 4.5cm from the left edge and 6.5cm from the top edge.

8. Cut the letters of your title out of brown cardstock and mat each one with light brown cardstock.

NOTE: Again for added interest, you could stamp images all over your letters before you mat them, as I have done in the scrapbooking layout above.

9. Glue your title across your Autumn Burst paper at the bottom of your scrapbooking page, leaving room to place a ribbon underneath.

10. Cut a length of ribbon about 3cm wider than your page and glue across the bottom of your page approximately 0.5cm above the bottom edge.

11. Finally, place two 3D Sunburst flower stickers near the top left corner of your photo and a third towards the bottom right corner of your page, as shown above.

The 3D flower stickers make a gorgeous embellishment for my layout. They are understated yet elegant and beautiful. And they don’t weigh my page down at all. Try incorporating some 3D stickers into your scrapbooking layouts and see what you can come up with!

Bright colours, playful alphabets and cute 3D animal stickers are the perfect ingredients for a fun scrapbooking layout. And that’s just what I have created this week – a fun vacation layout featuring a photo from our trip to the Everglades in Florida and cheeky 3D alligator stickers.

Click Here To View Our Animal Stickers

Materials Used: White Bazzill cardstock, Beary Patch Kiwiberry Stripe paper, Beary Patch Sunbeary Dot paper, blue Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug Bright Party Mix Alphabet stickers, Making Memories Green Alphabet stickers and EK Success 3D Alligator Watch stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use white Bazzill cardstock as your background. Cut it to 8 ½ x11.

2. Cut a piece of Beary Patch Kiwiberry Stripe paper measuring 15.5cm by 2.7cm. Round the top left and right corners and glue across the top of your page approximately 3cm from the left edge and 0.8cm from the top edge.

3. Mat a horizontal 4×6 photo with blue Bazzill cardstock. Glue approximately 0.4cm directly below the green strip from step #2. Keep the left side inline with the left side of your green strip.

4. Cut a second piece of Beary Patch Kiwiberry Stripe paper measuring 15.5cm by 2.7cm. Round the bottom left and right corners and glue across the bottom of your page approximately 3cm from the left edge and 0.8cm from the bottom edge.

5. Cut a piece of Beary Patch Sunbeary Dot paper 15.5cm wide. The height should be the height of the space between your photo and the green paper at the bottom of your page minus 0.8cm. Glue approximately 0.4cm directly below your photo. Keep the left side inline with the left side of your photo.

6. Place a small 3D alligator sticker at the top of your page – it should be in the bottom left corner of your top green strip, as shown above.

7. Place another small 3D sticker at the bottom of your page – it should be at the top left corner of your bottom green strip, as shown above.

8. Place a large 3D alligator sticker towards the top right corner of your yellow paper, as shown above. It should overlap your photo.

9. Finally, use alphabet stickers to write your title on your yellow paper.

This design could easily be adapted to suit your own photos. All you need are some brightly coloured papers and your favourite animal stickers. Have some fun and see what you come up with!

Gorgeous is the word that came to mind when I first saw the Indian Summer range from Basic Grey. The papers are just beautiful and I couldn’t wait to get scrapping with them. The only problem was that the most spectacular designs like Milkweed and Gooseberry are quite busy, making it a challenge to showcase them in your layouts without detracting from your photos.

Click Here To View Our Basic Grey Papers

So I set myself another challenge – to make my favourite paper a key element of my layout’s design while still showing off my photos. And here is the result:

Materials Used: Basic Grey Indian Summer Milkweed paper, Basic Grey Indian Summer Dogwood paper, pink cardstock, brown and pink alphabet stickers, light brown cardstock, brown ink and a frog stamp from Imaginisce.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Basic Grey Indian Summer Milkweed paper as your background. Lightly ink around the edges with brown ink and allow it to dry.

2. This step is a little tricky. Using a craft knife or scissors, cut around the outline of the pink flowers up the left side of your Milkweed paper. You should start about 4.3cm from the bottom edge and continue up until you are about 4.7cm from the top edge. Do NOT cut all the way to the edges of your page.

If in doubt, please see the picture above and keep in mind you are cutting a slot to slide your brown Dogwood paper into.

3. Cut a square of Basic Grey Indian Summer Dogwood paper measuring 21.5cm by 21.5cm. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, slide into the slot you made in the previous step to see what it looks like but do NOT glue in place.

4. Take note of the area covered by your brown paper and then set your brown paper aside. Cut out two leaves and a pink piece about 5cm by 6cm from the area that will later be covered. These will be used to create your frog embellishment.

5. Slide your brown paper into place again and glue. It should be about 1.9cm from the right edge and 4.3cm from the bottom edge.

6. Mat a vertical photo with pink cardstock. Glue in the bottom left corner of your brown paper, making sure you slide the edges underneath the pink flowers of your background paper, as shown above.

7. Mat a second vertical photo with pink cardstock. It should be slightly smaller than the previous one. Glue in the bottom right corner of your brown paper, making sure the top edge is inline with the top edge from the photo from step #6.

8. Mat a horizontal photo with pink cardstock. Glue in the top right corner of your brown paper, making sure the right edge is inline with the right edge from the photo from step #7.

9. Now it’s time to create your title in the top left corner of your page. I have used a combination of dark brown alphabet stickers from K&Company matted with light brown cardstock and pink and brown alphabet squares from DCWV. You can use whatever letters you like. The important thing is that they stand out.

10. Finally, stamp an image of a frog (or anything else) on the pink piece you set aside in step #4 and cut it out. Arrange it and your two leaves towards the bottom right corner of your page.

And there you have it – a layout that showcases not just your photos but a beautiful piece of Basic Grey Indian Summer paper. There is still a lot going on on this page, but the dark brown background for the photos creates a break between them and the patterned paper, allowing the photos to shine on their own.

Plus, you still get to see those gorgeous Basic Grey patterns.

The tropical icons like palm trees and hibiscus flowers that feature on these stickers are matched with distinctive, bright colours for a stylish and unique look. Perfect for photos from our honeymoon in Tahiti!

Materials Used: Basic Grey Sultry Friar paper, Autumn Leaves Striped paper, Creative Imaginations Unit 22 paper, Bo Bunny Mango Luau Coconut paper, brown Bazzill cardstock, light brown cardstock, brown ink, Pink Paislee Captivating Alphabet stickers, Pink Paislee Enchanting Alphabet stickers, K&Company Brown Dots Alphabet stickers and Moxxie Paradise Found stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Basic Grey Sultry Friar paper as your background.

2. Cut a strip of Autumn Leaves Striped paper 6cm wide. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue down the left side of your page approximately 1.3cm from the left edge.

3. Cut a piece of Creative Imaginations Unit 22 paper measuring 20cm by 14cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue to your page approximately 5cm from the left edge and 8cm from the top edge.

4. Place your palm tree sticker from Moxxie Paradise Found stickers towards the top right corner of your Unit 22 paper from step #3. Keep in mind where your photo will eventually go. Please refer to the picture above for exact placement.

5. Cut a piece of Bo Bunny Mango Luau Coconut paper measuring 23.5cm by 6.2cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue across your page approximately 3.8cm from the left edge and 3.5cm from the bottom edge.

6. Cut a piece from the underside of Bo Bunny Mango Luau Coconut paper measuring 5cm by 6cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue to your page approximately 2.5cm from the left edge and 8.6cm from the bottom edge.

7. Mat a horizontal 4×6 photo with light brown cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 7.2cm from the left edge and 7.6cm from the bottom edge.

8. Cut a strip of brown Bazzill cardstock measuring approximately 21cm by 1cm. Glue across your page approximately 3.2cm from the left edge and 5.3cm from the bottom edge.

9. Cut two of the hibiscus flowers away from your border sticker to make it a little shorter. Stick the remaining flowers down your page. It should follow the line of the right side of your Autumn Leaves striped paper, as shown above. It will also cover the left edge of your photo.

10. Decide on your title (in my case, my title is Our Own Little Island). Use dark brown alphabet stickers to write the last word of your title on the Unit 22 paper remaining above your photo.

11. Finish off your title using orange and green alphabet stickers above your Unit 22 paper as shown above.

12. Finally, arrange two leaf stickers and a hibiscus sticker towards the bottom right corner of your layout, as shown in the layout above.

And you’re done! You now have a bold and very distinct layout to add to your scrapbooking album. This design could easily be adapted to suit any beach photos or photos from holidays in tropical destinations like Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii or Bali.

Scrapbooking brads make an appearance on many of my layouts – mostly when I need to hold a flower or ribbon in place. But sometimes, an extra special range of brads comes along that are so special that they deserve to be an embellishment in their own right.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Scrapbooking Brads

That’s what happened when I saw our latest range of brads from Doodlebug Designs, especially the Bon Bon brads. I just couldn’t wait to get scrapping with them! The flower brads are just gorgeous! They have a glittery brown and white centre and a silver rim. Very sophisticated and perfect for my latest vacation layout!

Materials Used: Imagination Project Time Of My Life paper, Magenta brown paper, red paper (brand unknown), light brown cardstock, All My Memories epoxy circle stickers, PSX Dragonflies stickers, Crystal Magic, Creative Imaginations Alphabet Stamps stickers, Making Memories Scrabble Tile Alphabet stickers, brown ribbon, brown ink, white and green flowers (brand unknown), two dark brown brads and Doodlebug Designs Bon Bon Brads.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Imagination Project Time Of My Life paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Magenta brown paper measuring 26.5cm by 17.5cm. Ink the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue towards the bottom right corner of your page approximately 1.5cm from the right edge and 1.5cm from the bottom edge.

3. Cut a piece of red paper measuring 21cm by 22.5cm. Glue to your page approximately 2.8cm from the right edge and 4.4cm from the bottom edge.

4. Mat a horizontal 5×7 photo with light brown cardstock. Glue to your page towards the top of your red paper from the previous step (please see scrapbooking layout above for positioning).

5. Cut a piece of brown ribbon 21cm long. Glue across your red paper approximately 1.6cm above the bottom edge of the red paper, as shown above. Don’t worry what the ends look like. They will be covered over later.

6. Select two dragonfly stickers, one slightly larger than the other. Mat both of them with light brown cardstock. If you like, paint each with Crystal Magic for a more dimensional effect.

When dry, glue one dragonfly towards the bottom left corner of your red paper (as shown above) so that it covers the end of your ribbon. Glue the other towards the top right corner of your Magenta brown paper so that it overlaps your photo a little. It will probably go over the edge of you page, so make sure you trim away the excess.

You are now going to create the arrangement of flowers in the bottom right corner of your page

7. Select a large green flower and a medium white flower. Attach them with a brown brad towards the bottom right corner of your red paper and overlapping your ribbon.

8. Select a medium white flower and a small green flower. Attach them with a light brown polka dot brad from Doodlebug Bon Bon Brads above and to the left of the first flower.

9. Select a small green flower and a mini white flower. Attach them with a small brown brad above and to the right of the second flower

10. Now add two flower brads from Doodlebug Bon Bon Brads to your flower arrangement for that extra special touch. If you are not sure where to place them, please look at the layout above.

11. Using alphabet stickers, write your title in the space remaining below your photo.

12. Finally, place two or three epoxy circles in the centre of some of the flowers still showing from your background paper. It just gives your scrapbooking layout that extra little lift.

And you’re done! Another special layout for your scrapbooking album. As you can see, the brads I have used here really lift the design of the page up by adding extra dimension and texture plus a touch of sophistication.

It’s time for a little bit of magic – Disney magic! I’ve been playing around with Sandylion’s new 3D stickers, and in particular, their 3D Tinkerbell stickers.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Disney Stickers

I love the way Sandylion’s 3D stickers pop out of the page at you. They make your page look so sophisticated and create a truly dimensional layout. But they are not too heavy and bulky so you can sprinkle them around your layout to create the sensational look of 3D without weighing your page down.

Materials Used: Purple cardstock, Hunter Leisure Disney Castle paper, Provo Craft Dots paper, Provo Craft Pink Swirls paper, blue Bazzill cardstock, pink Bazzill cardstock, white cardstock, corner rounder, purple alphabet stickers (2 sizes) and Sandylion 3D Tinkerbell stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the purple cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Hunter Leisure Disney Castle paper measuring 10.6cm by 29cm. If you don’t have this paper, any paper will do. However, I do recommend you choose a paper with a dominant pattern you like as it will become a main feature of your page.

Using a corner rounding punch, round the top right and bottom right corners of your page. Glue vertically to your page approximately 7mm from the right edge and 7mm from the bottom edge.

3. Cut a piece of Provo Craft Dots paper measuring 17.8cm by 4.4cm. Using a corner rounding punch, round the top left corner. Glue horizontally in the top left corner of you page approximately 7mm from the left edge. Make sure the top edge is inline with the top edge of your castle paper from Step #2.

4. Mat a horizontal 4×6 photo with white cardstock. Glue to your page 7mm below your dots paper from Step #3. Make sure the right edge of your photo and the right edge of your dots paper are inline with each other.

5. Cut a piece of Provo Craft Pink Swirls paper. The exact dimensions will depend on your photo. The height should be the same as your matted photo. The width should be the distance from the left edge of your page to the right edge of your photo mat minus 1.4cm.

Glue vertically next to your photo so that the left edge is inline with the left edge of the dots paper above it and the top and bottom edges are inline with the top and bottom edges of your photo mat.

6. Cut a piece of blue Bazzill cardstock measuring 17.8cm by 4.3cm. Glue horizontally 7mm below your photo mat. Make sure the right edge is inline with the right edge of your photo mat.

7. Using purple alphabet stickers, write your title in the centre of your blue Bazzill cardstock.

8. Cut piece of pink Bazzill cardstock measuring 17.8cm by 4.8cm. Glue horizontally 7mm below your blue cardstock. Again, make sure the right edge is inline with the right edge of your photo mat.

9. Write your journaling on the pink Bazzill cardstock.

10. Cut a piece of Provo Craft Dots paper. It should be 17.8cm wide, but the height will depend on you. The height should be the distance from the bottom of the page to the bottom edge of your pink cardstock minus 1.4cm.

Using a corner rounding punch, round the bottom left corner and then glue horizontally to your page approximately 7mm from the bottom edge. The bottom edge should be in line with the bottom edge of your castle paper and the left edge should be inline with the left edge of the pink cardstock above it.

11. Finish of your page by placing your 3D Tinkerbell stickers in key positions, as shown in the scrapbooking layout above.

And voila! A magical layout complete with 3D Tinkerbell stickers. This concept can easily be adapted to suit any theme or photos you wish. Have a go and have some fun!

This week I’ve been playing around with a mini album I am making of our visit to Tokyo Disneyland in 2006 and some fun paint splat stickers from Reminisce.

Click Here To View Our Range Of Reminisce Stickers

Here are some of my results.

These are the first four pages of my album. The album itself is 8×8. I have used Beary Patch Blueberry Stripes paper, Creative Imaginations Purple paper, dark blue Bazzill cardstock, light blue Bazzill cardstock, white cardstock, paper from a Disney Lilo and Stitch notepad I found in Japan, blue ink, a blue pen, Disney Store Japan Stitch stickers and Reminisce Paint Splats stickers.

These photos are of the Stitch parade that ran for a limited time at Tokyo Disneyland. One of the key elements of the parade was the notion that Stitch had been making a mess and splattering paint all over anything and everything so the Paint Splat stickers from Reminisce were perfect. They’d work well for pages of your little ones making a mess too!

I love using flower stickers to dress up my scrapbooking layouts. They always look fabulous and they come in so many designs, colours and patterns that there is always something to suit any project.

But there is one thing that is even better – 3D flower stickers! They not only look fabulous but they also give your scrapbook that extra special touch by adding dimension and texture to your design.

In this layout, I have used 3D flower stickers from Stickopotamus to embellish my page.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Stickopotamus Stickers

This stickers are not only three-dimensional, but they feature a touch of glitter for that little bit of sparkle.

Materials Used: Imagination Project In The Corner paper, It Takes Two Pink Fibre paper, Scrapbooking Memories Pink and Brown Striped paper, Imagination Project Spaghetti Arms paper, brown cardstock, light brown cardstock, brown and white striped ribbon, brown ink, alphabet stamps and Stickopotamus 3D Cherry Blossoms stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the Imagination Project In The Corner paper as your background.

2. Cut a piece of It Takes Two Pink Fibre paper measuring approximately 24cm by 26. Tear down the left edge, as shown above. The top of your paper should now be about 14cm wide at the top and 23.5cm wide at the bottom. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue down the right side of your page approximately 2cm from the right edge.

3. Cut a strip of Scrapbooking Memories Pink and Brown Striped paper approximately 4.5cm wide. Mat with brown cardstock and glue down your page approximately 4cm from the right edge.

4. Cut a piece of brown and white striped ribbon and glue across your page approximately 4.5cm from the bottom edge.

5. Select your main photo and mat it with light brown cardstock. Mat it again with Imagination Project Spaghetti Arms paper and glue in the top left corner of your page approximately 1.5cm from the left edge and 3.5cm from the top edge.

6. Select your second photo and mat it with light brown cardstock. Glue in the bottom right corner of your page approximately 3cm from the right edge and 3.5cm from the bottom edge.

7. Place the first of your 3D flower stickers across the top left corner of your page, as shown above.

8. Using alphabet stickers or stamps (I have used alphabet stamps stamped on light brown cardstock) to create your title underneath your 3D flower stickers from the previous step. If you have space left, add another 3D flower sticker to embellish your title.

9. Place another 3D flower sticker in the bottom right corner of your page to mirror the sticker you have already placed at the top of the page.

10. Finally, add a final 3D flower sticker in the bottom left corner of your main photo.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Stickopotamus Stickers

3D flower stickers are a quick and simple way to add dimension and texture to your page. You don’t have to worry about trying to layer small and intricate pieces yourself…it’s all done for you.

And, of course 3D stickers are just limited to flowers. There are plenty of other themes and designs to choose from too.

K&Company never ceases to amaze and inspire me. Their designs are always innovative and cover a wide range of styles from muted and refined elegance to vibrant and bold playfulness.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of K&Company Products

Most K&Company collections are quite extensive and feature a wide variety of matching products. For example, one collection might include papers, glitter papers, embossed papers, stickers, epoxy stickers, 3D stickers, rub-ons, chipboard, tags, tape, die-cuts and more all beautifully co-ordinated with each other. It makes it so easy for us scrappers to mix and match (although I love to make up my own combinations as well!).

I have a particular weakness for their rub-ons. Many are accented with glitter for that extra sparkle and some come with rhinestones to give your scrapbooking layouts a bit of bling. They are stunningly detailed and very easy to use.

For example, in this layout I have used rub-ons from the K&Company Amy Butler Lotus collection:

Materials Used: Blue Bazzill cardstock (for the background), Pebbles Inc Theodore Circle paper, Creative Imaginations Unit 22 paper, Stemma Milestones paper, Scenic Route Charlotte Canal Street Floral paper, 7Gypsies Boulogne paper, Foofala Brown Ivy paper, white cardstock, pink ink, Doodlebug Bubble Blue Hopscotch Alphabet stickers, Paper House Beach Alphabet stickers and K&Company Lotus Rub-Ons W/ Gems.

As you can see, I have used several rub-ons all over my layout to embellish and highlight my photos.

Apart from the photos, my main feature of the page is the collection of flowers, rub-ons and rhinestones in the bottom right corner of my large photo:

To re-create this collection:

1. Cut out a large flower shape from Foofala Brown Ivy paper. It should be about 8cm in diameter. Carefully scrunch it up and then flatten it again. Ink all the way around the edge with pink ink. Also smear some ink across the face of the flower and set aside to dry.

2. Cut out three circles from Foofala Brown Ivy paper. The first should be slightly smaller than your flower (maybe 5.5cm in diameter), the next slightly smaller than that and the next smaller still. Carefully scrunch each one up and then flatten again. Ink all the way around the edge with pink ink and smear some ink across the face of each circle. Set aside to dry.

3. Place your flower in the bottom right corner of your photo, but do not glue down. Take note of its position. Apply your K&Company green branch rub-on so that when the flower is glued down, it will look like it is sitting on top of the end of the branch, as shown in the picture above. You may also want to add a small green butterfly rub-on, as shown above.

4. Glue your flower in place. Layer your three circles on top of it and glue in place.

5. Cut out a second, smaller flower from Foofala Brown Ivy paper. It should be about 4.5cm in diameter. Again, carefully scrunch it up and then flatten it. Ink all the way around the edge with pink ink and smear some ink across the face of the flower. When dry, glue above and to the right of your large flower, as shown above.

6. Cut a circle approximately 2cm in diameter from Foofala Brown Ivy paper. Carefully scrunch it up and flatten. Ink all the way around the edge with pink ink and smear some ink across the face of the circle. When dry, glue in the centre of the flower from the previous step.

7. Finally, embellish with rhinestones from your K&Company rub-ons by positioning them in curved lines coming out from your large flower, as shown above.

K&Company designs are extremely versatile and easily adaptable to suit many different styles of scrapbooking and different themes. For example, I could just as easily have used these rub-ons to decorate a page about my beautiful nieces, flowers, butterflies, a picnic or even my wedding. And of course, they could also be used when making cards or other off-the-page projects.

As always, the key to a fabulous layout is to use photos and products that you love and, to quote the K&Company rub-ons used here, “Do What You Love” and “Love What You Do.”
