School is well and truly back in session for the year and with it comes not just new uniforms, new books and new lunchboxes but lots of new school photos to be scrapped!

So I thought I would share with you, not just our fabulous new range of stickers and rub-ons from Bo Bunny (which includes some very sophisticated school stickers), but also some inspirational school scrapbooking pages from the Bo Bunny professionals.

Click Here To View Our Full Range Of Bo Bunny Stickers

Artist: Janis Medina

I love the bright cheerful colours used in this layout as well as the fun flower used in the bottom right corner. The A+ Student sticker comes from Bo Bunny’s School is Cool stickers while the circular School Days sticker comes from Bo Bunny’s First Day Of School stickers.

Artist: Irene Tan

Red, yellow and black with a touch of green make fabulous colours for showcasing your back to school photos, as shown in the layout above. I also love the contrast between the bright and colourful papers used and the black and white photo. It really draws attention to the photo. This unique layout features Bo Bunny’s First Day Of School stickers.

Artist: Robbie Herring

This final layout looks very sophisticated but is actually quite simple to create. If you look closely, it’s simply a matter of layering several different patterned papers. The ruler down the middle is a wonderful touch and really helps to set the theme for this school scrapbooking page. The First Day Of School title sticker comes from Bo Bunny’s First Day Of School stickers.

I hope you find these scrapbooking pages as inspirational as I do and that they give you some ideas for creating your own school pages. Perhaps you’ll even include your own favourite school scrapbooking stickers.

School plays such a big part in our lives and that of our kids (afterall, most of us are at school for 13 years!) so why not preserve those precious school day memories in your scrapbook albums? Whether it’s photos of your kids in their school uniforms, with their school friends or even nervously walking through the gates on their first day, school stickers are the perfect embellishment to help you record those special moments!

Click Here To View Our Range Of School Stickers

In this layout, I have combined a fun blackboard-like paper, primary colours and Autumn Leaves school stickers to create a cheerful School Memories layout. I have also used a sketch (sketch #220) from my collection of 500 Scrapbooking Sketches to help me with my design.

Materials Used: White Bazzill cardstock, It Takes Two Black paper, red cardstock, light yellow Bazzill cardstock, Hot Off The Press Red border, Autumn Leaves Fun Times At School Stickers and Autumn Leaves Learn At School stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the White Bazzill cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of black paper measuring 28.5cm by 28.5cm. Glue in the centre of your page.

3. Cut a piece of White Bazzill cardstock measuring 30.5cm by 7cm.

4. Mat your white cardstock from Step #3 with light yellow Bazzill cardstock. However, your white cardstock is already the same width as your page, so you only want to create a yellow edge along the top and bottom.

The top edge should be a thin straight edge, no more than 5mm wide. The bottom edge should be more decorative. I have chosen to cut a zig zag edge approximately 1cm wide for my bottom edge, but you can cut whatever shape you wish.

5. Glue your matted white cardstock across your page approximately 7cm from the bottom edge.

6. Cut another piece of White Bazzill cardstock measuring 13cm by 7cm. Mat with light yellow Bazzill cardstock. But again, you only want a yellow edge approximately 5mm wide along the top and bottom edges.

7. Glue your piece from Step #6 horizontally to your page approximately 4.2cm from the top edge and right up against the right edge.

8. Mat a horizontal 4×6 photo with white Bazzill cardstock and again with red cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 2cm from the right edge and 2.5cm from the top edge. There should not be a gap between it and the piece you glued on in Step #7.

9. Place an apple school sticker in the top left corner of the piece you glued on in Step #7.

10. Cut a piece of Hot Off The Press Red border (or any patterned paper) measuring approximately 7.5cm by 1cm. If you wish, slightly round the top left corner. Glue horizontally to the piece you glued on in Step #7 so that it is right up against the right edge and about 5mm above the bottom white edge of this piece.

11. Add your journaling in the remaining space of the piece you added in Step #7.

12. Cut another piece of Hot Off The Press Red border (or any patterned paper) measuring approximately 18cm by 1cm. Glue horizontally across your page so that it is approximately 4cm from the bottom edge and up against the left edge.

13. Mat a vertical photo (you will need to crop this one down so it isn’t so tall) with white Bazzill cardstock and again with red cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 2cm from the right edge and 1.7cm from the bottom edge.

14. Place a school bus sticker above your photo from Step #13, as shown above. You may wish to mat it on white cardstock first to give it dimension and help it stand out.

15. You should now have a large white section available next to your second photo. Use this space to add your title and extra school stickers.

I have used the stickers ‘School’ and ‘Memories’ to create my title. I have then embellished them with adorable school pencil stickers and a school house sticker. But, your choice of school stickers is completely up to you.

And there you have it. I fun, cheerful layout embellished with school stickers. Perfect for recording those treasured school memories!

1. Use the blue Bazzill cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Junkitz Pastel Madras paper measuring 23.5cm by 30.5cm. Ink around the edges with blue ink and when dry, glue horizontally across your page approximately 1.5cm from the bottom edge.

4. Cut a square of Provo Craft Purple Swirls paper measuring 21cm by 21cm. Ink around the edges with purple ink and when dry, glue towards the top right corner of your page. It should be about 1.2cm from the right edge and 1.6cm from the top edge.

5. Cut a second piece of Creative Imaginations Hydrangea Wash paper measuring 5cm by 7.5cm. Ink around the edges with blue ink and when dry, glue vertically to your page approximately 11cm from the right edge and 0.7cm from the top edge.
7. Place a moon and star sticker from Sandylion Sweet Dreams stickers next to the top left corner of your photo from the previous step. Also place your alarm clock sticker and another star sticker above your photo, as shown above.

8. Crop a second horizontal 4×6 photo down to about 4×5. Mat with blue cardstock. Glue towards the bottom right corner of your page, approximately 1.7cm from the right edge and 4.4cm from the bottom edge.

9. Place a teddy bear sticker towards the bottom right corner of your second photo.

10. Place your child in bed sticker from Sandylion Sweet Dreams stickers in the bottom left corner of your Purple Swirls paper, as shown above.

This layout was created using blue cardstock, Retro Squares paper, Provo Craft Blue Circles paper, KI Sand Linen paper, Patchwork Chocolate Brown paper, tan cardstock, brown ink, Cloud 9 Alphabet stickers and Sandylion Bedtime Pooh & Friends stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the blue cardstock as your background.

2. Cut a piece of Retro Squares paper measuring 29.5cm by 29.5cm. Ink around the edges with brown ink and when dry, glue to the centre of your page.

3. Cut a piece of Provo Craft Blue Circles paper 11.5cm by 29.5cm. Tear at an angle down one of the long edges to create a white edge. Using brown ink, ink around the other three edges. When dry, glue vertically down the right side of your page, still leaving the small blue border all the way around, as shown above.

4. Cut a strip of KI Sand Linen paper measuring 29.5cm by 1.3cm. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue horizontally across your page approximately 1cm from the top.

5. Cut a piece of Patchwork Chocolate Brown paper measuring 15.2cm by 20.2cm. Ink around the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue vertically to your page approximately 7.7cm from the left edge and 3.6cm from the top edge.

6. Mat a vertical 4×6 photo with tan cardstock and glue in the centre of your chocolate brown paper from the previous step.

7. Cut a square of Patchwork Chocolate Brown paper measuring 5cm by 5cm. Place a Pooh and Piglet reading sticker from Sandylion Bedtime Pooh & Friends stickers in the centre. Mat with tan cardstock and glue towards the top left corner of your photo, as shown above.

8. Use Cloud 9 Alphabet stickers (or any brown square alphabet stickers) to write your title underneath your photo, as shown above. Place a sleeping Tigger sticker from Sandylion Bedtime Pooh & Friends stickers so it looks like he is resting on your title.

9. Finally, place three Pooh & Friends pillow fight stickers from Sandylion Bedtime Pooh & Friends stickers in the bottom left corner of your page.

The Explore scrapbooking papers from We R Memory Keepers are the perfect match for kids who are always on the go. The playful swirls, circles and dots just infuse your layout with energy so I knew they would be perfect for this adorable photo of my energetic little nephew. How can you resist that grin?

Click Here To View We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack

This layout was created using We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack, white cardstock, dark brown Bazzill cardstock, green cardstock, yellow cardstock, dark brown cardstock, brown ink and a brown pen.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the dark brown paper from We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack as your background. Turn it so the majority of the swirls and flowers are in the top left corner of your page.

2. Cut two pieces of Explore Dots paper from We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack each measuring 15.2cm by 4cm. Using brown ink, ink all the way around the edges of each piece.

3. Glue one piece from Step #2 horizontally across the bottom of your page approximately 2.1cm from the right edge and 1.7cm from the bottom edge.

4. Glue the remaining piece from Step #2 horizontally towards the top of your page. It should be approximately 2.1cm from the right edge (inline with the piece from Step #3) and 8.1cm from the top edge.

5. Cut two pieces of Explore Orange paper from We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack each measuring 17cm by 5cm. Using brown ink, ink all the way around the edges of each piece.

6. Glue one piece from Step #5 horizontally across the bottom of your page approximately 1.3cm from the right edge and 5.3cm from the bottom edge. It should overlap your Explore Dots paper.

7. Glue the remaining piece from Step #5 horizontally towards the top of your page. It should be approximately 1.3cm from the right edge (inline with the piece from Step #6) and 11.7cm from the top edge.

8. Cut another piece of Explore Dots paper measuring 17.8cm by 4.4cm. Using brown ink, ink all the way around the edges of each piece. When dry, glue horizontally across the gap between your two orange pieces. You have now finished the background for your photo mat.

9. Cut out a star shape from green cardstock. It should be about 9cm across. Using a brown pen, draw a border of dots and lines all the way around the edges. Glue at an angle in the top right corner of your page, as shown above.

10. Mat a vertical 5×7 photo with white cardstock and again with dark brown Bazzill cardstock. Glue to your page approximately 3.7cm from the right edge and 2.7cm from the bottom edge.

Please note: You are gluing your photo on top of your five strips of paper from the previous steps. It is centred vertically but NOT horizontally as you need to leave room for your diamonds.

11. Cut out a string of seven diamonds from the Explore Argyle paper from We R Memory Keepers Exp Swirls Paper Pack, as shown above and glue down the right side of your photo.

12. Cut out another star shape from green cardstock. This time it should be about 6.5cm across. Using a brown pen, draw a border of dots and lines all the way around the edges. Glue at an angle towards the bottom left corner of your photo, as shown above.

13. Finally, cut out your title from yellow cardstock. Mat each letter with dark brown cardstock and glue across the top left corner of your page.

What do you think? Do you like this scrapbooking idea with We R Memory Keepers Explore scrapbooking papers? Do you have any questions? Would you have done anything different? We’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below.

I’m so excited to share this very special page from Rhonda Goldfuss with you. Rhonda created this fun train scrapbooking idea for photos of her grandson, a big fan of Thomas the Tank Engine and train shows. I love the train across the middle, but the main feature is the cool shaker box in the top right corner.

Here’s what Rhonda had to say about her awesome shaker box:

After a few failed attempts using foam strips and dots and squares, I decided to try my hand at something else. I used a piece of foam board and using CM’s oval cutters, I cut one oval of black paper and one white that I had journalled on. I used a smaller oval cutter to cut the inside of the black oval out to give me my framework. I then used the oval cutter to score the foam board as it would not cut all the way through. I had to hand-cut the rest of it with an x-acto knife. I then scored the inside with an oval cutter to make a frame of the foam board.

I then glued the cut foam board to my white journalled oval. When it was thoroughly dry, I inserted my glitter, small trains punched with a train punch and a few Thomas emblems. I then carefully glued a piece of clear transparency, also cut with the CM oval cutter to the top of the oval frame foam board. I then placed the oval black frame over the transparency careful to line it up and glued that in place.

You must wait until it is dry before moving or else the shaker ingredients stick where the glue is still moist.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Rhonda! Please let Rhonda know what you think of her train scrapbooking idea by leaving a comment below.

Looking for scrapbooking ideas to showcase photos of your kids at the pool or water park? Vellum is the perfect medium for creating water effects on your page. In this layout, I show you how to use it in combination with Bo Bunny stickers to create a scene of children swimming across the bottom of your page. It’s so easy! And incidentally, these stickers come with little extras so you can change the boys to girls if you wish.

This layout was created using blue patterned paper, blue cardstock, Creative Imaginations Stripes paper, blue vellum and Bo Bunny Watch Me stickers. Wave scissors would also be helpful but not essential.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the blue patterned paper as your background.

2. Cut three strips of vellum – one approximately 4cm tall, one approximately 7cm tall and another approximately 10cm tall. When cutting each strip, give the top edge a wavy effect. This can be done with a template, or more easily, with wavy scissors.

3. Place the largest strip of vellum across the bottom of your page. Adhere to the background by placing glue in the top left (behind where the sticker will be). This is enough to keep the vellum in place, but you can also place a dab of glue in the areas the other stickers will cover if you want to attach it more securely.

4. Next, place the boy in the blue tube sticker in the top left corner of the vellum strip. Half of this sticker goes onto the vellum and half onto the background paper, again helping to secure the vellum. Try to place the sticker so the next layer of vellum will slightly overlap it.

5. The second layer of vellum is the most difficult to attach as the sticker is going both on top of and below the vellum. This way, the boy looks like he is swimming in the water, but his board and the water splats are on top of the water. In order to do this, all you need to do is make a small cut on the sticker from the curve around the water splats to the board.

6. Now to adhere the second layer of vellum to your layout by placing a dab of glue on the right side (where the third sticker will cover) and attaching it to your layout. Adhere your sticker to the first layer of vellum, as shown above, remembering to lift the board end to stick on the new layer.

7. Now attach the third layer of vellum. Again, dab some glue on the right (where the third sticker will cover) and attach to your layout.

8. Add your third sticker to the bottom right and the small water splash sticker on the left. If you are worried the vellum is not stuck down well enough, you can always apply more glue behind any of the stickers.

9. Mat your photo, first with blue cardstock and then with Creative Imaginations Stripes paper. Glue to your page above the waves, as shown above.

10. Place the boy on the diving board sticker in the top left corner of your page and the sun sticker in the top right corner.

What do you think? Do you like this vellum scrapbooking idea? Do you have any questions? Would you have done anything different? We’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below.

School holidays are the perfect time to get in some quality time scrapbooking with teenagers. And that’s just what I did last week. My 13 year old niece, Ashleigh and I spent a morning scrapping and having a wonderful time. So I thought I would show off her masterpieces (call it ‘Proud Auntie Syndrome’).

This is the first page she created. The photos are of her elder sister, Jessica’s 12th birthday. She used Chatterbox Powder Puffs paper, white cardstock, red crate paper and Bo Bunny Barn Red Linen Alphabet Tags stickers.

I scrapped photos from the same event awhile ago. Funnily enough, my page actually looks quite similar. If you would like to see my take on it, you can find it here: http://www.stickersnfun.com/skch02.asp

This is the second page she created. It features her grandfather and two younger brothers. I’m not sure what the papers are (they came from her own stash) but she used dark blue Bazzill cardstock, orange Bazzill cardstock, blue thread, a blue pen. a selection of alphabet stickers and star stickers from Pebbles Inc My Guy Words stickers.

Ashleigh used sketches from my 500 Scrapbooking Sketches book to complete both pages. The sketches made it so easy for her to create these pages – she just had to find one she liked and get started. There was no umming and ahhing, just lots of fun. It turned out to be the perfect resource for scrapbooking with teenagers.

If you don’t already have your copy of 500 Scrapbooking Sketches, Click Here.

I really am a very proud aunt. I think Ashleigh did a wonderful job with her creations. Please let her know what you think by leaving her a comment below. I know it would just make her day!

Thank you.

Bright colours and playful stickers are often the perfect way to capture a child’s joy at just having fun. This layout shows how to incorporate these two elements into your layout while still retaining an element of sophistication by using your stickers to create boy scrapbooking tags.

This layout was created using Provo Craft Marine Reef paper, light blue and ocean blue Bazzill cardstock, bright blue cardstock, one wide blue ribbon and a selection of thinner blue ribbons, three white eyelets, three white brads, Hot Off The Press metallic tags, light blue alphabet stickers, dark blue ink, light blue ink and Suzy’s Zoo Corky the Turtle stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Mat your Provo Craft Marine Reef Paper on bright blue cardstock so there is a thin border of blue all around your page.

2. Cut a strip of light blue Bazzill cardstock approximately 5cm tall and glue across the bottom of your page.

3. Adhere a wide blue ribbon across the join between the light blue Bazzill cardstock and the rest of your page. I have chosen a light blue ribbon with white daisies, but the choice is up to you.

4. Tie another much thinner ribbon (I have used a blue plaid) around the large ribbon towards the right side of your page, as sown in the layout above.

5. Join two small metallic tags together with a white eyelet. Place an alphabet sticker on the top tag (I have used L) to create a monogram. Use another blue ribbon to tie them to the blue plaid ribbon you have already tied around your larger ribbon.

6. Cut a tag measuring approximately 6cm by 10.5cm from bright blue cardstock and lightly ink around the edges with dark blue ink. Place a white eyelet in the centre towards the top and thread ribbon through (again, I have used a blue plaid).

7. Cut a smaller tag measuring approximately 4cm by 6cm from light blue Bazzill cardstock and heavily ink the edges with light blue ink. Again, place a white eyelet in the centre towards the top and tie a different blue ribbon through.

8. Cut a rectangle measuring approximately 5cm by 7.5cm from ocean blue Bazzill cardstock. Adhere it at an angle to your large blue tag and tuck the small blue tag in behind it. See layout above for exact positioning.

9. Place your Suzy’s Zoo Corky the Turtle stickers in the centre of the ocean blue rectangle at an angle, as shown in the layout above. Adhere another ribbon along the bottom of your tag (I have used blue plain ribbon with the words ‘Simply Adorable’ printed on it). Further embellish by placing a white brad in the bottom right corner of your tag and two side by side above your blue rectangle. See the layout above for the correct positioning.

10. Glue your finished tag at an angle in the bottom left corner of your page.

11. Mat two vertical 4×6 photos with ocean blue Bazzill cardstock. Place them at angles with one tucked behind the other in the centre of your page.

12. Cut seven small triangles from bright blue cardstock. Glue one in each corner of each photo as photo corners.

13. Finally, use light blue alphabet stickers (or letters cut from light blue cardstock) matted on bright blue cardstock to create your title in the top right corner of your page.

These boy scrapbooking stickers from Reminisce are perfect for showcasing those special moments in your young man’s life – exploring the great outdoors, playing in the dirt, ripped jeans, grass stains and generally having fun. By combining them with a few simple techniques like inking to make your page look grubbier and distressing to create a worn effect, you can capture the perfect mood for your memories.

This layout was created using KI Dark Olive Linen paper, Scrap-Ease Marquina Marble Terra Cotta paper, KI Sand Linen paper, white cardstock, dark blue cardstock, brown ink and Reminisce Boys With Be Boys stickers.

To recreate this scrapbook page idea, follow these steps:

1. Use the purple KI Dark Olive Linen paper as your background. Ink the edges with brown ink. You may also like to smudge some brown ink across your background to reinforce your ‘boys will be boys’ theme.

2. Cut a piece of Scrap-Ease Marquina Marble Terra Cotta paper measuring approximately 18.3cm by 25.5cm. Run the edge of your scissors along the bottom and side edges (not the top) to create a distressed white edge. Scrunch up your paper and then flatten it out again. You should now have a nice worn effect. Complete the effect by making a small tear on the left edge towards the bottom left corner and on the right edge towards the top right corner. Fold back the flaps, as shown in the layout above.

3. Glue your Scrap-Ease Marquina Marble Terra Cotta paper vertically to your background so that it meets the top edge and is approximately 2cm from the left edge.

4. Cut the fire border sticker from Reminisce Boys With Be Boys stickers so that it is the same width as your terra cotta paper. Place it across your terra cotta paper approximately 1cm below the top edge, as shown in the layout above.

5. Cut a piece of KI Sand Linen paper measuring approximately 18.5cm by 25cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. When dry, glue vertically in the bottom right corner of your page.

6. Mat two 4×6 photos with white cardstock and again with dark blue cardstock. Glue one above the other approximately 5.8cm from the left edge, as shown in the layout above.

7. Cut your star border sticker into two pieces – one approximately 7cm long and the other approximately 14cm long. Place the larger piece vertically on your sand linen paper so that it is approximately 2.5cm from the right edge and the top meets the top of the paper. Place the smaller piece so that it meets the bottom edge and so that it is inline with the larger piece.

8. Select five stickers from Reminisce Boys With Be Boys stickers.
Place the largest over the gap in your star border sticker. Place the rest down the right side of your photos, as shown in the layout above.

9. Finish off by placing the ‘Mr Independent’ sticker towards the top left corner of your page, as shown in the layout above.
