Scrapbooking With Patterned Paper

Scrapbooking With Patterned Paper

By Jennifer Gormly

Sometimes a patterned paper is so well designed that it is all you need to create a stunning page. This page shows how to use a patterned paper to frame your photos without losing the intricacies of the paper's design.

This layout  was created using Fancy Pants Wildheart Bouquet Paper, brown cardstock and a craft knife.

Begin by arranging your photos on your page as shown in the layout above. Do NOT adhere. Instead, lightly mark their position with a pencil and set them aside.

Use your craft knife to cut out the design on the patterned paper that is WITHIN the area that your photos are going to cover. You are creating slots to slide your photos behind. When you have finished cutting, slide your photos in place and adhere.

Finish off by adhering a title cut from dark brown cardstock across the top right of your page.
