Sometimes the most effective layouts are the most simple. This layout was created using green patterned paper, purple purple paper, yellow swirl paper, tan cardstock and Magenta Joyful Flowers stickers.

The key to this layout is the colour combinations. The bright green background was a bit much in itself, but it was softened by cutting two squares of purple paper and placing them opposite each other. 

The photo mat was created using the tan cardstock and yellow squiggle paper. The squiggle paper was cut significantly longer than the cardstock to add interest and help balance the symmetry of the page.

Finally, the page was decorated with stickers. While this is a quick, simple way to dress up a page, in this case, it is quite effective, resulting in rather an uncommon look and colourful combination. Don't be afraid to play with unusual colour combinations. They add interest to your albums as well as providing an endless stream of possibilities to play with.
