Just because a sticker is made one way,
doesn't mean you have to keep it that way. I fell in love with
the Doodlebug
Day at the Beach stickers the moment I saw them. The
colours are just gorgeous, but I wasn't too keen on the border
sticker. Rather than wasting it, I transformed it into a new
border. |
|
|
This layout was created using It Takes Two
Orange fibre paper for the background, Paper Garden Baby Wide
Lines paper, blue cardstock, yellow cardstock and Doodlebug
Day at the Beach stickers. |
|
|
To create the border on the left, first cut
out the tags from your border sticker. Tear a strip of blue
paper and a strip of green paper (I used Paper Garden Baby Wide
Lines Paper for this, but you could use any blue and green
cardstock). Make sure both edges of each strip is torn. Glue
them to your page and arrange your stickers on top. |
|
|
Instead of placing a second border on the
opposite page, try balancing it with a different arrangement of
stickers. Tear another strip of blue and another strip of green
paper. These only need to be about 12cm long, but again, make
sure they are torn along both edges. |
|
|
Place the blue strip in the top right-hand
corner of your page. It should be about 2cm from the top edge of
your page and right up against the side edge. Arrange your three
Sun, Sea and Sand stickers on top. Your green strip should be
placed in the bottom left-hand corner of your page and mirror
the blue strip (ie, it should be about 2cm from the bottom and
up against the left edge). Decorate this strip with your 'Sea'
stickers. |
|
|
To finish off your page, mat your photos on
yellow cardstock and arrange on your page. Decorate with your
remaining stickers. I also placed a piece of blue cardstock
horizontally behind my first photo. This was to enhance the
photo and help it stand out from the others. |
|
|
And voila! You now have a bright summery
layout for your album! |
